MAX lost there 25 points , in Baku and at the Hungaroring as well..

That makes : 75 + 19 = MAX would be 94 points in the lead !

It's looking more and more that HAM may have new PU in Brazil according to RB sources and then would be the optimum time to take it.

I was just reading the Dutch article regarding HAM's ICE replacement !


According the F1 journalist Julianne Cerasoli :

Mercedes thought the issue regarding the micro cracks was fixed .
But in Mexico , HAM got PU water cooling issues , and he ran it too hot ..
HAM got a significant drop in the water pressure during the race in Mexico !
If it is true , HAM will get a 10 P startgrid penalty ...
Last night at the company I heard about the whole situation from HONDA Japan , but I wasn't sure 'yet .

I recall reading that overheating was beginning to be an issue with that Merc block as well as his rear tyres by the end.

The biggest issue that Mercedes has , is that they have to push their PU beyond the limits ..
At least if they want to beat MAX !

Personally I think it has to do with the (cheating) air sensors trick in the plenum .
The sensors are fooling with the incoming (so said colder) air temps and the PU will get more fuel ..

"More fuel = More Power = Run hotter"

I'm convinced Mercedes shot in their own foot !
So yeah , the Mercedes warp-speed is really hot !

This is exactly what it must add up to, those cheat plenum sensors are squeezing the block to the limit and maybe a little beyond hence the replacements.
The final ECU setting for the race if at maximum boost will be a big risk for the MIB boys.

That's for sure , Mercedes won't share their top-secrets !

On the other hand : The 2021 HONDA PU can handle extreme high temps very well.

The Mercedes PU mistakes began at Silverstone .
It was there for the first time where Mercedes was using the air sensor trick , to get more warp-speed power .
Shortly after Silverstone , the other teams noticed via GPS data that the Merc ran suddenly 20 kph faster on the straights !
Even stronger was the fact that the Merc's run faster without DRS than the other cars with DRS !
BOT is/was still the Mercedes test mule , and it 'seems to work during the QF sessions in combination with the 'Turbo-Upgrade !
That's why BOT can pull the pole with the full power mappings , but during the race over a longer period of time , it's there where it goes completely wrong for the Mercedes PU !..
And suddenly Micro Cracks appeared in the Mercedes PU !!!
And lots of Mercedes had to be replaced .
Let us not forget that BOT runs with his 6th PU !

Mercedes threw it in , in the middle of the season to beat MAX , because MAX was leading strong in the WDC and HAM was whining to get more power !
But Mercedes didn't had the necessary time to test it during the pace of a whole race pace and the negative impact of hotter PU temps .

I said this before : Mercedes is playing Russian Roulette , with only one (1) bullet in the chamber !
