Alpina B3 vs 335i pro tune
Hey Guys,
wanted to show you something: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=4v_ZId9LpCs What do you think? I know them both, very fast cars (especially the 335i), after that the owner of the B3 sold all parts and will buy a 335is. In some races the Alpina won, but when they started at same position the 335i runs away till 250/270 km/h. |

u can roughly say:
the higher (effective) compression ist, the higher torque is. with turbocharged cars u have effective compression Its a sum (need to calculate it) of geometric compression and boost pressure from turbocharger. For effective compression of 17.4:1 Alpina needs boost of 19 PSI. For effective compression of 17.4:1 335i needs boost of 16 PSI. With 19 PSI 335i reach effective compression of 18.5:1 But good to hear some other meanings Last edited by kollegga; 08-27-2013 at 04:51 AM.. |

So u will say that Alpina engine is not that good to tune?
Even with Upgrade Turbo E60 mix Jb + BMS Flash it will not win against a pro tuned car? Sick. canīt believe that, but it is your opinion. |

Lot of other possibilities, not enough info. Weight of cars for one. Pro tuned car running race gas also. Finally who knows how well the B3 was set up, if it had enough fuel etc? Driver skill also.
It is funny to talk about physics and math but use night racing videos on You tube as a measurement standard. |

I guess you don't drag race much over there, launching any of these e9x car AT or not takes some skill. I think 102 RON is more like 97-98 AKI US, but someone please correct me if I am wrong. 98 RON is more like 93-94 US.

Did you guys watch a different video than I did? The alpina won 3 of 5 races and the race shown the alpina hit the kickdown switch and dropped a gear. So much for driver skill not mattering with auto...
Also with lower compression you can make more power you just need more boost / bigger turbos to get the effective compression back up to what it would be. I think of it like having a little bit more displacement when a turbo is involved.

Yes the misshift was Shirt, but srsly he has to get him.
And alpina driver Said when they started side by side the pro tuned Car Runs right After both did WOT 1 Car lenght away. Maybe a Good custome tune is better in this case. But BMS Flash with g5 is Almost the Same? |

I have an alpina b3 with:
Rb turbo Ardesign catless dp's Hpf fmic Custom tuning.. A 335i can never pull on me only if it runs same setup + meth and or E85. I put down 450-460rwhp from 5000-7000 rpm |

To be fair RBs are not the best turbos to judge the potential of the b3 since they run out on the stock compression. That new twin scroll big single setup on a b3 would be very interesting.
