Everyone is different. My wife went in for surgery the day before thanksgiving. Was at thanksgiving dinner with her parents the next day and they had no clue she had any procedure done. Then again, my wife handled her broken collarbone better than any guy i've seen. It was surgically repaired and she took nothing but advil for pain.

funny thing is that my wife can grab scolding hot tortillas off the oven and walk them across the kitchen, but the broad says "it hurts" when my 3 year old daughter lays on her back........

it may have been the vicious cycle of drugs she was on - literally every 3 hours i was loading her up with muscle relaxers and pain killer because i knew she wasn't going to be able to handle the pain.

seriously, the first night i slept in the bedroom by myself because she didn't want to leave the couch.

woke up at 1AM and at 4AM to give her medicine.......
