What hard cases do you guys store your black rifles in? Looking for a reasonably priced 2 gun case.

I hear good things about Pelican.

I usually store my black rifles in soft cases from LaRue Tactical.

I prefer the soft cases for taking them to and from the range. But I've had two soft cases for my 16" mid length and both of them had the zippers bust. Not sure if I should go with a more expensive/higher quality case or just go with a hard case.

Have you checked out the LaRue cases? Some of them are pricey but LaRue is known for producing extremely high quality products (e.g., their scope and optic mounts, carbines, etc.).

I have a couple of these:

These are nice, too:

The soft cases are much easier to take to the range. They are considerably more inconspicuous to boot.

I like the cases offered by Voodoo Tactical, specifically this one:

If you want a soft case, save the money and go to an airsoft store. Chances are they'll have a toy gun the same size to test the soft cases that will costs half as much as what you might find at a real gun store or online.

For hard cases, can't go wrong with Pelican. They run a little more, but if you're looking for a hard case you probably want the added protection and they're pretty hard to break or beat in quality.

Yes I see the hypocrisy in going cheap for soft and paying more for hard. lol

Everything that LaRue makes is nice!

I only recently got a hold of a double rifle Voodoo soft case and it's pretty awesome. Very robust, looks like it will last for ever.

Yet my Benelli shotgun case's zipper busted after only being used about 7 times.

I am thinking about getting a nice scope for my SCAR17, at first I was thinking ACOG, but I think for the .308 I want more magnification to reach out a little more. I'll probably throw a magnifier on my AR behind the Eotech for the 'up close' to mid range.

Anyone have experience/a recommendation for a decent Scope? I was looking at a Leupold Mark 4 up to 14x magnification, The mark 6 looks nice, but I don't know if I need to drop that kind of coin...

thoughts?

We are going to try the 3.5x acog on the scar17. Really like their stuff and not having batteries to worry about.

And another +1 for Nightforce.

I need a Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm with the illuminated TMR reticle. But I don't wanna drop $1200+ on one.

Those of you who have FF rails, do you notice any movement in yours? Mine seems to have a significant amount of play in it which is quite annoying. I took it off and tried to re-align it several times to see if that made a difference but no luck. Anybody know what would cause this?
