Style 285 vs 194m ??

Hi guys my steeler just made a good offer on oem wheels + tires , the offer is on Style 285 which is standard on 2011 US 328 and 194m which is standard on 05+ msports. I got confused now on which one would look better on my car and i NEED YOUR OPINION plz, My car is 2007 320i SilverGray non-msport.

Style 194m

I mean I guess the 194s, but any number of better aftermarket options are available.. what are those, like 16s?

Those are 17s , there is aftermarket replicas but iam not buying them as our roads here in Egypt are bumpy and can easily bent thats y am goin with the oem set + Conti RFTs

I'm biased but I like the 285s. They look better and more concave in person.

I like the style of 194M better and I have them on my car. Unfortunately they are really heavy at around 12.8 - 13.1kg per rim, but if you need the strength for bad roads maybe thats acceptable.

Firstly I think you need to decide if you want Run-flats or not. Personally I hate runflats, but they are practical if you don't carry a spare.

If you decide to use run-flats, I think its best to get genuine BMW rims in 17". Other aftermarket wheels are generally not designed for runflats. They can lack strength and don't have the ribs on the inside of the rim to properly secure the tire at zero pressure.

The offer is on the wheel set including conti-sportcontact 3 RFTs , i am not buying aftermarket wheels or non-rfts , OEM is OEM

To bring this topic back to life, I have an e90 LCI M sport and bought the car with wheels 194m, meanwhile during winter I had the styling 285 mounted with square tires 225/45/17, I absolutely love the square setup the car is much more responsive and fun to drive on the twisted roads, what I am missing is the big fat look of the rear. I am thinking now to trade the 194m and get a 285 set also for summer. In my oppinion beside looks, the rear 255 tire is too big.
