All the best, boys & girls- I'll catch you at Donington Park at 12pm, Museum car park- by the trees on the far side, opposite the museum entrance.

All the best.

Well that's torn it!.

I was even thinking that I might actually make the meet when things went t1ts up at work. Whilst I'm not actually working tomorrow, I'll need to stay local, just in case . If smelly stuff is about to hit the fan, I'll have to intervene.

I had even managed a quick car wash (and I don't mean opening a sachet of shampoo on top of the car in todays incessant rain, either!) Not quite up to meet standards, but it would have just about done.

I'll stick my head out now, as I've just got in and have not seen the BBC weather forecast. 10-15kt wind from the SE. Possibility of early fog in the north and south, but should clear by the time you guys hit the road. Some forecasts are talking of showers in the afternoon, my sources tend to discount this, at least not heavy or widespread showers (We'd need about 28-30c to break the inversion sufficiently). Finally, no snow Viv!

Have a good one.

I think we will all have an enjoyable day, whatever the weather.

Great day at the UK2

Hi, I had a great time today, it was great to meet you all. I took a few snaps with my pocket camera. The full sized ones and a few more shots are on Flickr.

Looking forward to the next one. Even if I still have my E46 coupe I will not leave it at home next time.

Marilyn, when you find out the iPod situation *please* let me know!
Floyd, thanks for the "Moon Pie"!
Paul, thanks for the burger!
Jon, thanks for pointing me at the meet and the lift!

I look forward to seeing the other photos, especially those from those with slightly more "pro" cameras than me

Cheers,
Simon

Bloody hell that was quick with the photo's

Good to meet you all today ... sorry I didn't get much time to chat - I spent most of it stopping my kids from running off into the road ....

Next time ... note to self ... don't bring a 2 year old.

Further note to self ... check castle is open

Nice drive in the country though - even if it did get a bit 'spirited' in the twisty bits ....

An awesome day again guys and gals! Hey Simon, didn't realise you took a cheeky shot of me on the motorway!

Floyd, great idea to have the BBQ - a great way to bring everyone together.

NFS - an awesome drive to Beaver Castle , there are some fantastic driving roads in that area, shame there were no beavers at the Castle, just a Castle! And thanks for the curry recommendation, again a superb drive to Keyworth, and the meal was top notch - bloody hot though!

Chris - I now want an M6, don't know why, hope you didn't have a headache when you got home!

The hardcore - I've never had so much fun in a dark and seedy carpark! Making formations with our E90's and photographing different light combinations was so cool. Marilyn, my angels are so sick!!!

David Bailey - I mean Matt, can't wait to see your shots from the day, and no photoshops of me spread eagled over my bonnet either!

Great to meet the new faces and of course the familiar faces for UK1. I was impressed that people made the effort, even if they could only stay for a few hours. I'm sure UK3 is not too far away and will be bigger and better.

Great meet guys.. pics to follow.

I am currently apoplectic with rage as some f'g b'd kids threw a beer can at the car as I was going through Cheltenham and have dented it just below the 'C' pillar

I had a great day yesterday.

Thank you to everyone for making me and my family feel welcome.

Paul, thanks for being so Patient..... I think Keaton felt you too "clicked" and shared the same passion for the BMW M6

Viv, let me know about the black lines etc. As soon as we have numbers I will get on to it.

Thankfully, captain chaos feel asleep on the way home, but, just in case anyone didn't hear about his "red OW MW", I've attached a picture for you!

Again, great day and hope to see you all again soon.

It was good to meet you Simon, & Jon, as always!
The E92 launch shots you took are excellent as well.

Hope you can make the next meet.

Thanks for sorting out the route & the restaurant, Simon. It was good meeting you face to face.

Marilyn tried leading our group without knowing where we were going, Paul didn't try leading or know where we were going & I led the group on a wild goose chase, westward at one point, but it was a good drive!

Thanks- Floyd made the plates- nice work.
I'll be meeting up with the originators of the 'number plate covers'- the Hong Kong gang, next week-end.

I'm afraid the 3 separate U,K & 2 plates are pshopped to protect the innocent!

Paul (beauforty)- as I said yesterday, some of the photos from this meet could be a pshopper's delight!

Others are probably wondering what the 'MFUK' means- I've given him a new nickname now (he's had several before, but all potentially offensive!), as he seems to want to 'mod' his car until it's as 'sick' as the 'QuadFather's' (longtran).

From this day forth, Paul will also be known as 'ModFather UK'.
If you think the 'MF' should stand for something else, then let him know!

Floyd (SoYank)- great idea of yours to have a BBQ & thanks fro bringing everything we needed, including the plate covers

Chris (Chris33)- It was great meeting you & your family. I hope Emma wasn't too bored talking to the rest of us?!
I enjoyed talking to you about the potential blacklines & short shift groupbuy- I'll start a thread about it.

Matt(mjh93sa aka OilBurner)- a pleasure to see you, your car & your photography skills in action again. Sorry about the trouble with the dent- hope it gets sorted out soon.
From the stuff coming out of Paul's mouth yesterday, he probably thinks he's got the skills to take that dent out with one of his 'sick' mods!

I'm looking forward to the shots, especially the night ones.
I'm afraid I was talking too much, so have ended up with just a handful of shots.

If anyone has some shots they'd be willing to post to me on a CD (or on a DVD in Matt's case!), then please PM me & I'll forward you my address.

Gary (MMVI)- great meeting you at last.
Hope you had a good time with all of us.

Dave (bakdraft)- had some good laughs- glad you made it.
So when do you fancy starting our own dealership then?!

Ruffy (RR)- hope you've got the number plate covers off now?!
Thanks for making the effort to come to the meet, even if it was just for a few hours & thanks for bringing all the snacks.

Overall, I thought it really was a good meet.
Some were coming out with more laughable comments than ever before, whilst others were just laughing at them!

It was good to see everyone sharing the food & drink (I hope that was the case, because I helped myself to at least a couple of burgers & cans of Coke!).

I think we had more fun together than would ever happen trying to get the same information, help & support from local BMW 'stealers'.

All the best.

Viv

Beaver rather than Belvoir that made me laugh. You certainly picked the right day; I was out on my cycle this morning and it absolutley p..$ed it down in the vale of Belvoir.

Both Richard & I will both be in Hong Kong for a couple of weeks, so I'll get started on the video as soon as we get back, Hiten.

Keep a look out on the HK7 thread for shots of us over there!
