Went to the gun show here this past Sunday. My bro in-law bought a Ruger SR9c. I was going to buy a Glock 26, but I want to shoot his Ruger first. Maybe I'll change my mind.

1911s are really addicting...I have 7 custom ones already, lol. I don't see that happening with a Glock.

A couple weeks ago we had a family outing to the range.
I brought my girlfriend, mother, and father.
It was my mother's first time shooting in almost 50 years and she's not fond of guns.
She ended up having a blast and was an amazing shot for someone to shoot their first handgun.

This was her first magazine at ~7-8 yards.
All 11 9mm rounds out of the .40 magazine (didn't squeeze in the 12th round)
Last shot was the throat shot for fun.
Called it out before she shot too so she could rub in her skills

No no. My gun is 9mm. The extra magazines I have are for .40 but they load and feed 9mm perfectly and are cheaper

Crazy, I would think the feed lips would be different enough that it would not work

You would at the very least need a different barrel (and slide obviously). With certain Glocks you can shoot .40 and 9mm with just a barrel conversion and magazine only. Some say you should also change the spring to prevent premature wear but I have heard of many that don't even do that. I have not heard of using a .40 mag for 9mm before... I may have to give it a try!

Yea it's crazy but works very well!
Definitely may be unique to the Sig Pro.
So your mileage may vary.

Going for my CHL in a couple weeks and no idea where to start researching for a nice gun to carry.. Any recommendations?

I might just go to the gun range and start with some rentals until I find one I like. Want it to be reliable, powerful enough, and compact and light enough to carry

Bersa Thunder9 Ultra Compact (honestly my favorite)
Bersa 380 (most common CC)
.... Newest addition is a Glock 34 (not much range time yet) for some competition. A friend got me into tactical competition recently, but I haven't made much time to dedicate to it.

Anyone else involved in competition? I could use some tips. Lol
