I shoot with stock Mossberg Modified for now, which should be OK.

Removed the stock fiberoptic sight because it was way too distracting and replaced with a regular white ivory. I should probably add a center bead too.

I also shoot with different ammo all the time. Anything from 1145fps all the way to crazy 1390fps, so this may have some affect.

Woke up with a sore shoulder this morning, so my mount is probably not 100% consistent. I'm going to pay a guy at the range to give me a private lesson and see what he says. His daughter is an olympic hopeful for trap, so he knows a thing or two about this stuff.

That is a nice Mossberg. I love my Mossberg 935. For trap/skeet I prefer my 935 to my Remmington 870 wingmaster.

After reading the article linked about the picture... is it REALLY due to connections to Cartels that they ask that?

Geez

Last year I purchased the upper and lower receivers for my DD AR15 and the ATF form had more choices for ethnicity. Is it different per region?

Well, i sent it out this past monday and it's already back in town. Just missed the cut off to pick it up from Fedex, so i'll have to wait until monday. So if they fixed the issues i would call their customer service excellent.

Will know when i get to shoot it again!

I know what you mean.

i'm just surprised that they turned it around in 1 day. They got it on tuesday 4:30. Sent it back out on Thursday 3pm. If they would have shipped it next day it would have elevated my fedex pick up problem.

I hope they detail out what they did to remedy the issues. There were very slight issues. I think just a little deburring and polishing would take care of it. Maybe they replaced my mags too?

Guess i'll have to wait and find out tomorrow.

My dad and I will be going shopping this week for him a carry. Ever since I got one I've been telling him he needs something for his truck(home builder), and last week he was almost robbed while picking up supplies.

He likes mine, so we may get one like it, and maybe coerce him to get me something

Also, they do a 'Secret Sniper' on reddit. Maybe we should get something going for the guys in this thread this Christmas. There are tons of $30-40 items we can buy for one another.

Awesome! I've carried my Glock 23 for some time and like it quite a bit. However after this nighthawk purchase i've been thinking about switching to a 1911 carry model. Probably won't go that route though. Who knows....

Got the Sig 1911 back from Sig today. Gunsmith notes said they replaced the slide catch and polished the feed ramp. They also replaced my mags and put 50 rounds through it without malfunction. I hope it works for me just as well. With any luck i'll be checking out a new range that opened near my office this week!

Sounds good man

Sounds like I will get a similar conclusion when I get mine back.

On my dad. I will get him to shoot some other guns synonymous to mine, and let him feel what he likes. Probably a G26, XD40C, and go from there.

Showed this link to a friend. He ordered a case of 12 gauge on 7/3/2012. Today is 7/17/2012 and his ammo hasn't even shipped yet! That's retarded.

Not pleased with Palmetto State Armory either. They charged my card the day i ordered it on 7-5-12 and didn't ship until 7-13-12.

Natchez shipped quickly, had that order in 4 days.

Edit: I hit submit reply and tracked the package. As soon as i hit track it, UPS pulled up with 1000 rounds of FMJ .45. When do you suppose you have enough ammo?

1000 rounds sounds like alot, but thats only 10 moderate trips to the range. Shoot 4 boxes per trip and you've only got 5 trips worth. I think having 2000 rounds on hand in each caliber is sufficient for now. I'd like to get into multi thousand rounds in each caliber and then start rotating. Gonna have to build in ammo to the annual budget....

Unless you're buying it in 10,000 round increments, you aren't shooting enough

UPS pulled around back to deliver it for some reason this time. When i walked out there i had visions of having to receive ammo deliveries with my fork lift rather than hand truck.

That would be cool!

Do any of you guys do any reloading? My friend started recently and says it saves him a lot on ammo costs.

It depends on the amount of shooting you do, but yes, by my calculations it *should* save about $10,000 or 25% over the life of a firearm, if you count a "life of a firearm" 100,000 rounds.

I would like to find something that would let me reload 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 45 ACP and 9 mil. All-in-one.

Got mine back today . It was only gone for 8 business days. Note says 'Cut and polished feed ramp,' 'Tested.'

So it appears Springfield and Sig have their stuff together when it comes to CS.

They gave me a small plastic case for it too, just big enough to sit the pistol and two mags in.
