If you are left-handed like me, you can get Loaded which comes with ambi-safety or get RO and a Wilson Combat Bulletproof ambi-safety, plus fitting, which will most likely be required. Will probably end up being the same price after that.

RO is made for range. If this is your main purpose and you are not left-handed, just go with that. You will not be sorry. I promise.
Im upset now because i just found out that the RO is not cali compliant! I hate this states gun laws

Yea, that's what I will do. I don't trust myself enough to mess with that. I don't really see anything they do that I want to do at the moment. I wouldn't mind a custom finish, though.

I saw that guys page. Seems like an easy enough fix. Worst case scenario you can just get another slide stop and file that.

Or contact Springfield. This issues seems to be well known and the post explaining how to fix it is 8 years old now. Perhaps there is a modified slide stop available.

Not a problem. For every law there is a loophole. Find a small shop that would do SSE (Single Shot Exemption) for you.

If you don't mind making 2 drives (first one to start the 10 day wait thing, and then 2nd one to come back and pick it up) to San Diego, guys at DAS will hook you up. My Remington is not CA compliant either.

PPT (Private Party Transfers) are also exempt from CA DOJ roster, so if you find someone local selling an RO, you are good to go too.

Slide was off the gun. Just the grip and the mag in it.

Interesting. I vote filing it down or, in the alternative, taking it to a gunsmith to have him do something about it.

Option 3: Call Springfield and see if they'll do anything for ya.

Edit: Just saw Solefald's post and Mike's post and noticed that they beat me to the punch. In any event, good to know that we're all on the same page once again.

I apologize if I'm post whoring

Went and put another 50 through it today, and it F2F once on the 2-4 round--I believe the third but not 100% positive. I've emailed Springfield to see what the next step is. Overall, I took Mike's advice and changed up my shooting stance and grip (Thanks Mike), and it felt a million times better. Actually put a smile on my face firing and reminded me why I liked it when I bought it, other than the F2F obviously.

I've read very good stuff on their warranty service, including honoring change of ownership, so it should be resolved soon.

~15 yards for all, headshot was about 25 yards, but 1 of 4 lol.

Prices are pretty much the same as everywhere else, really. Buying online is usually much cheaper, but since you can't buy RO locally, your only choice is someone who does SSE.

Call them up on Tuesday 10am-6pm (They are closed Sunday/Monday) and ask how much they would order it for. I just ordered 2 shotguns though them and they beat GrabAGun's price by $20 in both cases, which also saved me a $40 FFL transfer fee.

Don't forget that when you are ordering online, you end up paying for FFL transfer in addition to everything else. That varies by a store, but I've see some places charge

Or just buy a Loaded. Pretty much exact same gun

RO: Adjustable sights, Short guide rod, No ambi safety
Loaded: Fixed sights, 2 piece guide rod, Ambi safety

Fixed sights don't bother me, but I am replacing the guide rod. Ended up being $12 in parts.

There is a gun show 2 weeks from now. I'm going there with a sole purpose of getting 1-2K .45ACP ammo for cheap.

You're definitely not post whoring. This is what this thread is for sir.

Those groups are starting to tighten up.

I'll post up one of my targets victimized by my TRP this weekend.

The ones I talk about are all over the Left Coast. They roll though San Diego every 2 months or so.

I'm pretty sure there are a similar ones on the Right Coast too.

I think i'm heading to the range tomorrow. Can't wait. Hope my recent bulk order of ammo gets here today or tomorrow. Don't like paying out the ass at the range for ammo.

Down here in redneckville we have one just about every month.

Seems like no more than 5 weeks will pass without a gunshow being within 60 miles of Tampa.
