I'm told that Ed Brown sells a ton of their special forces model with this type of treatment. So someone must like it i suppose. Just not sure as to what kind of grip this offers.

It's kind of a compromise between sharp hand checkering and no checkering. It's comfy, but doesn't "dig into your hand" if you know what I mean.

I have that exact pistol. This type of "checkering" works just fine. It doesn't feel as aggressive as my TRP, but I have never noticed any retention problems. If you like it, its an outstanding pistol. I love mine.

Anyone on here have experience with the Keltec PF9? I bought one to carry, picked it up at the gun show for 250 out the door, couldn't pass up the price. Took it to the range yesterday for the first time and it was horrifically inaccurate for the first 50 rounds or so. I'm no sharp shooter and I know its a subcompact nine so its not supposed to be accurate, but it was really bad, anyone ever heard of the same?

no, but with a tiny grip and a da trigger I'm not suprised, I hate to suggest it, but it may be the operator...you probably just need more time with it.

it could be that the angle of the grip doesn't work for you, I recently had trouble making friends with a sig mosquito 4 mags and I just couldn't get it to work for me, I put it down and picked up a 9mm m&p and I was driving nails with the first shot at the same range

Yeah I am not ruling out that it could be me at all. I order an extended mag that adds on to the grip making it possible for your pinky to hold the grip, hopefully that helps me out. I am hoping it is me bc I can always practice, I'll be bummed if its the gun.

Make sure your bullets are not tumbling and that the fluting in the barrel is correct.

Give it a really good cleaning, sometimes if you shoot really dirty ammo when the gun is new it can affect the bullets.

The surprising thing is I was shooting really nice clean ammo through it so I ruled that out from the beginning. I will go to the range again with it soon and see if I can get better with it.

Haha thanks man. I had to trade in my Sig P229R to make it practical to obtain it. I was worried I'd miss my Sig (because I loved it) but I am happy to report that I do not.

I just had to make your 1911 wait a bit more agonizing. How's that Mossberg?
