I got sucked into a Smith and Wesson .380 ACP Bodyguard today. $299.00 is a pretty sweet deal and I needed a new pocket gun anyway...Oh who am I kidding. I just wanted it

Good luck, it is a picky bitch about what ammo it will cycle. I suggest you order some 124grain NATO pressure rounds now, because it probably wont cycle plinking ammo until you run several hundred rounds through it.

Recently acquired this late 1943 Remington Rand 1911, all original, hasn't been monkeyed-with, not a bunch of these things coming out of the woods these days.

A buddy, also a collector, works Saturdays in a pawn shop, he "shot" me a heads-up.

Thanks for looking,

Congrats, that's a beautiful pistol, and will only go up in value in the future.
I brought back a WWII Ithaca 1911 with British lend-lease proofs from my dad's place the last time I went to see my parents. It's in great shape like your Remington.

Cleaned oiled and greased it and ran 1000 rounds through it saturday, winchester White Box, no misfires, no jams etc. I really liked the feel of it. Still shot my P226 better but I have had A LOT more time with it.

What would you use it for? plinking for fun? formal target shooting? hunting? open sights or scope? Lots of accurate .22s out there, how much do you want to spend?

occasional target shooting and mostly to keep cayotees out of my land and away from my pets. Scope would be nice, but i feel scopes arent that reliable, correct me if im wrong. money doesnt matter

.17HMR maybe for you then. You can get a 10/22 chambered in it.

Scopes are not unreliable at all, but you get what you pay for.

Or just bite the bullet and get an AR15

Thanks! For now, I'm going to keep this one completely "stock." It will be my "Keep it simple, stupid" rifle. I ordered a flip up rear BUIS in case I wanted to replace the carry handle down the road. The only other modifications I would consider would be: Aimpoint Micro T-1; MOE hand guard.

This is my other rifle (Daniel Defense M4V3):
