Pilot Bearing Removal e92 DIY
Just wanted to share a quick and easy way to get pilot bearing out.
#1 Go get your self a mini grease gun.[ #2 See the small hole on you pilot bearing? #3 Stick the tip in nice and firm to the hole and start pumping it up with grease. #4 Give it nice couple taps with your palm. Worked for me! Good luck |

Thanks for the post! I used this post to help me with a pilot bearing that was stuck in the input shaft of the transmission. A couple tips from my side that helped aid the removal.
#1 - I purchased this grease gun tip from Advanced Auto Parts (similar tips available at other auto parts stores) and pressed it into the pilot bearing hole. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...4216/9240029-P #2 - I used a heat gun to help expand the input shaft ID to allow the bearing to be extracted easier. |

Weighing the options
I went looking for help after I had already destroyed the inner bearing on my 335. I will definitely try the grease trick tomorrow and will post my results.

Grease trick
So, the grease worked slicker than a whistle for my pilot bearing. It was much easier by having two people, one to hold the grease needle and one to pump the grease. You all saved my butt.
Thanks |

You can always put the head of the screw inside, hold the bearing by head of the bolt, and then just screw something like nut and punch the nut by the hammer, it will come out easily.
