Just to try and be helpful. Most dealers don't have a "black book", to my knowledge. What they really do is base their offerings off of what they can get at local (or wherever they take their used cars to regularly) auctions. The trouble the Houston dealer I went to had with negotiating trade was that they had NO auction data to go off of and I was able to force them to negotiate based on publicly available book values (KBB, NADA, etc.). So my advice would be to start looking into how you can get some of that data.

And a skirt. I wear more to the beach than to negotiating room. I'm not even kidding, and since I didn't pack up anything from home when we moved to US, I will end up paying full price for my car. First time ever.
