Fixed it for ya.

These are not legit Cubans. Cohiba does not put their logo inside of the box, and they would never let a box out of the factory that had such rough edges on it. Sorry. No matter what you're paying, it's too much.

It's been a while since I ordered any Cohibas, but I'm pretty sure they do put a logo on the bottom side of the box lid. That said, the placement of the logo sticker does make me suspicious, as does the rough hewn box. It looks crooked. I'd need to see more pics of the box/sticks/labels before I outright label these phony though. These are one of the most commonly counterfeited smokes IIRC.

Cohiba absolutely does put the logo inside the cover of the box. Everything checks out from correct length of cigar, embossed logo, triple cap, etc. The box has all the correct markings, warranty sticker, etc. I even dissected 1/2 one to be sure of the leaf structure and they are real. No reason to believe they are fakes at this point. If they are indeed fake, its one hell of a reproduction.

If I had a better camera then my iPhone I would get some better pix.

When you are looking to buy a humidor, pick the lid up and drop it. If the air cushion catches it then it is perfect, if the lid slams then it won't hold in the humidity. Go to the closest cigar store and have a conversation with them and I'm sure they can steer you in the right direction. The brand doesn't really matter, it is all about if it can hold steady humidity or not.

It's been a LONG time since I've gotten any Cohibas myself, so maybe I'm not remembering correctly. I'll have to sift through some old boxes to refresh my memory. You are correct in these being the most counterfeited. The majority of fakes I've seen have had a Cohiba label.

I'm headed out of town this weekend and packed my traveldor full of Trinidads. I will have to agree, it's one of the best coming from our friends in the south. Although, I think the crops from '05-'06 were far better than the latest I've gotten.

smoking a trinidad righ now, the smallest one.
they are so good that i ordered a box of trinidad coloniales.
pricetag is 10€ each, 24 in a box.

best thing i can let them stay at the humidor-room at the store.
that way i dont have to buy a humidor....ill just keep them in the wooden box and lay a gel bag in there.
or maybe ill just smoke them all in the store, its pretty nice there.

good smoke. *inserts smoking smily*
