i think the C63 will feel more comfortable to you in terms of dynamics ( coming from a 335i and all)....but the question now begs, if you are considering a C63...why not an M3?
For that matter, why not a CPO M5? I was bummed to read your review on the Maser' =( It appears to be impressive on the streets and sounds it...guess it doesn't drive that way =\ have you looked at maybe a Porsche? you can probably find a cpo 911 for mid 70's ??

i thought you wernt looking for v8 or were you? thats why m3 wasnt on your list...
in any rate, i could see that you are going toward executive class luxury with lots of power... 500 horses type of power! you wouldnt go for a 7 series? 750i would be awesome choice. I just do not like benzs.. they are always performance tick below BMW for the same price. |

These are the funniest replies I've read all week. Well done. As for the OP - I would probably choose neither of your options. idrift4wd has some excellent suggestions just above me though! Look UP.

While the Maser/Ferrari engine is no slouch, its torque is a bit higher up the rev dial. You have to work the motor. The ZF transmission is the same as in the Bimmers, so if the tranny felt slow, you weren't in the right mode. In "Sport" the Maser/ZF software is a bit more aggressive than the BMW/ZF configuration. Maser steering can sometimes feel a bit dead on-center, but bend the curves at speed and steering wheel comes alive in your hands. The one negative, that I'll agree with you, is the weight. But that isn't just a Maserati issue. And don't forget that the two rear seats will fit full size adults. Not just midgets or small children like in most others. And finally, you might not be comfortable with the maintenance costs. Although the service intervals are reasonable (IIRC, 12K mile intervals) You will be going to Ferrari/Maserati dealers that charge a lot more than $140 a shop hour. And they don't give a shit about giving you a loaner car or when you would like to get the car back.

People who live in glass houses...
"English" should be capitalized.
Rule: Capitalize words derived from proper nouns. Example: I must take English and math. English is capitalized because it comes from the proper noun England, but math does not come from Mathland. |

If I had that money I know I'd be getting a GTR but from the cars you own I can obviously tell this is something you'd not be interested in. I say you give a look at the c63 amg though!

my father had the gran turismo. had it for 3 months and got rid of it for an AMG. Although beautiful, it is the most impractical daily driver you could get.

Well, I wouldn't say it's THAT impractical. Just imagine the way car magazines/reviews describe the practicability of the R8, but more practical...does that make sense? Cause the Gran Turismo is still a high-end GT.
