New house! Driveway issues!

Hi guys, looing for a bit of advice.

I'm about to close on a house this Friday. But realized that my M3 most likely will not be able to pull into the driveway due to a dip in where the driveway meets the road. The street seems like it was repaved sometime last year and that caused the water run-off area to be accentuated.

Is there a way to over come this enormous dip? I don't want to tear up the driveway next to the road it will require a permit. I know they sell these rubber mats that fill the gap and raise the bumper enough to clear the gap. Are there any other options? Can I just put down a large piece of steel to fill the gap and act as a bridge. Not sure what other options I have.

Time to go rent a electric jack hammer and a few bags of quick concrete, what permit? Nobody saw nothing

Just put some wooden planks down. It will look a bit white trash though.

There are quite a few people (including myself) in my neighborhood that have these. They work well, only issue is when they start to plow you better get that thing out of the road and hope like hell the snow gets to where you don't have any issues anymore.

I'd give this a try too...

...Unless you are buying the house that has given me driveway nightmares since the first time I saw this picture. If this is your new house, I think you're on your own and you should sell all of your cars.

I can't even figure out how they got the concrete to dry like that without forming a pile at the base. I wanted that pic to be fake so badly but it appears to be legit. Wow.

Not sure it is fake, i wanted to believe it was fake since the first time I saw it a few years ago, but there appears to be another picture from another angle. Nort sure what this moron contractor/developer was thinking, I seen steep driveways before but nothing like these.

yep real, here is more can be found at 5028 New Bridge Road, Fayetteville, AR 72704

http://www.afbforums.com/index.php?/...eep-driveways/

then you have this poor driveway
