First I hold a MD license, I was in NY being touristy. Got the notice on my window on SUNDAY at 12:07 Noon , violation says " No STD- Limits" , no standing limits apparently.


Maybe I am reading the sign wrong, so what do you all think and how do I go about fighting it?

Pretty sure it means no standing during the times listed on the top sign. I recommend you park in a garage in NYC. If there's a spot on the side of the road, most likely it isn't legal to park there.

To me it says that there is a 3 hour limit that doesn't apply on Sunday. The no standing is still applicable. Sorry dude, you got screwed by NY's poorly worded signage but the ticket is valid. The only thing that is exempt on Sunday is the 3 hour time limit.

Thanks folks, and another friend whos lived in NY for a while said just pay it because its next to impossible to fight.

I live in NYC, my dad always gets parking tickets. Can't do much except pay it. The wording on most signs is horrible and once you see multiple signs like the one u posted, it gets confusing to understand what they're trying to say. Just be careful and if something in ur mind hints you that you can't park...don't park lol

Just don't pay for it lol. I got a parking ticket a year ago and I never paid for it. I live outside of NYC but still.....

You're not a commercial vehicle...i've seen people get towed for this.

I will do this $90 is better than $125. Thanks a lot folks
