Yeah but I become paranoid in traffic because there are so many clueless douchenozzles out there. Driving on an unoccupied stretch of road in the snow is fun as hell, in traffic it can be terrifying.

Here's the full story from Youtube:

This storm came out of nowhere. Weather was clear 15 seconds before the video started. I let go of the gas to slow down instead of braking in the beginning of the video.I knew i was driving too fast and braking would not have been a good idea. Beginning of this film is when I pushed the record button on the camera. You can hear me shut off the radio. My wipers aren't even on yet.

I braked at 00:4 when i saw the accident, only to realize that it was useless so i let go of them completely and regain control.

I got out of the car to check for damage after I drove past the accident area. about a mile down the road. I must have seen at least 15 damaged cars left and right.

Filmed on highway 77 North.

I am NOT on summer tires.

This Evo is a North Carolina car. There are no reasons for me to be on winter tires.
I do not have a crash beam because my IC is too large for one. I am buying a daily driver for winter driving.

Thats not a tennis ball. Thats a Subaru get more g's ball in the passenger side window

It does have a evo 9 bumper.

My "ricer" with green rims is fully built pushing 500AWHP

Despite the "little" damage that was done to the car, I am very happy that i did not hit anyone or get hit by that semi. My car would've been totaled and I might have not been here to post this video.

Am I the only one that found it funny with the commentary and subtitles?

"Fuck fuck fuck.. *groans* fuck"... Then you see a huge 18 wheeler flying through.. And he puts "yeah.. Time to get out of here..."

This guy is not your average joe. You can clearly tell he knows exactly what he is doing.

Oh OK, that's in North Carolina.... That explains why absolutely everyone seems completely clueless about what the fuck is going on. Lived there for a bit and we had an inch or two of snow once. Instead of the normal school closings on the local news in the morning, they listed entire cities that were completely closed, and the hysteria bordered on that present when a hurricane is rolling through town.

I did venture out for a bit, but the sheer number of people blowing through stop signs/lights because they magically couldn't stop like normal (the looks on their faces were absolutely priceless), combined with everyone on summer tires or in ditches, made me turn back and go home in fear for my life.

I think maybe those in the mountains would be somewhat used to snow. I was along the coast though.

Usually, you won't just lose control of your car like that on a snow covered road. That looked like heavy wet snow making the conditions more slippery with slush compared to a completely snow covered road. It could have also be raining/sleeting before it snowed causing there to be a layer of black ice under the snow. When that happens, it's one of the most dangerous situations to drive in because you may not be initially aware of the ice under the snow.
