I have a Old Maxfli 3 Wood that I can play and Draw of Fade I want. It looks like crap, but it's consistent as can be.

Question though. I'm about a 110 MPH swing speed off the driver (IIRC). I'm a 270-280 yard carry as well. However, I'm creating too much spin, and not getting any roll.

Could that be a shaft problem? It's a 2007 TaylorMade Burner

yea def. You should try to look up a fitter around you that has a launch monitor and other computerized devices. This way when you are hitting your driver the data will show a trend that the fitter would be able to spot and in return should be able to fit you with the correct flex, kick point, weight, etc.. that will maximize your potential. the proper fit driver is a must if you want to improve your total driving stats. If your driver or any club isn't fit correctly you will be compensating with everything else creating a chain reaction of bad habits which creates inconsistent scoring.

The hybrids are to inconsistent for me, and i have a hard time controlling the ball flight, so for now ill stick with the 2 iron since it has served me well so far

All of my Irons and wedges are fitted for my swing. But nothing on my woods or drivers are fitted. I should probably get to that.

I'm naturally a high-ball spin player, but not to the point where I loose roll off of irons

I still trade out my titleist 4 wood for my old callaway steelhead 4+ on longer courses. I love it. Does cut out of the rough quite as well as my titleist though. I actually carry a OLD callaway divine nine full time. For those of you who hit hybrids inconsistently a good 7 or 9 or even 11 wood is a great alternative.

I'll do you one better. I have a 1 Iron. Hardly play it anymore. Back in middle school, I couldn't hit a wood to save my life so I hit a 1 Iron off the tee.

You're so cool.

J/K....my buddy is the same way. You purists that can actually hit your long irons make me sick.

Some of us don't pure our long irons quite so consistently so we'll take advantage of the new tech available. Different strokes, for different folks.
