I got my insurance bill for the 07 335I and it went up for the first time since getting the car. I call my insurance company and guess what now with 6 yrs of data on the car they found that it is costing more to cover all the damage from all the accidents the 335I drivers are in. It is not much of an increase, about $100 for the year but I usually see about $20 or so decrease ever yr as the car ages. I am back paying what I was paying when I got the car new.

Oh my other cars went down the 335I was only increase. If you have State Farm i would expect your 2013 bill will see an increase since they now combined their database and can see how bad 335I drivers really are.

This is what I like about working in the financial services industry. I have my auto insurance through my bank's insurance brokerage subsidiary and receive a hefty employee discount. I pay about $40 a month for $300,000/$300,000 plus high limits for medical, property damage, etc, underwritten by one of the largest insurance groups in the nation.

I have several friends that work in the insurance industry that keep trying to get me to get policies with them. Each time they're like, "yeah... we can't match that..."

jesus, really? I know all the places I looked at quotes from were way shittier, but I'm paying 125/mo for my used 328, 100k/300k and extras. Granted, used and 328, but it can't be THAT wide a spread.

$125 for the 328 sounds pricey to me. My 325CI and 3.0 Z4 cost me about $70/MO...which is why $160 for the 1er blew my mind, I expected about $100/MO before I called to add it...oh well.

Under 25, for one. But even still, $70 sounds RIDICULOUSLY low.

^ Seemed normal to me, but I'm not in LA either

I called around to get quotes from all the major players and the average quote I'm getting is $1,500-$1,600 ever six months...guess I'm getting a good deal right now? Wow.

All I can say is I can't wait until I turn 25. I would be ashamed to post how much I pay to insure my car, that said it pales in comparison to what my twin brother pays to insure his tt-rs but his driving record is abysmal. Oddly enough it was substantially less to insure my 1M than my previous car (mkv vw gli), which means to me that the insurance companies base their rates on a pool of the drivers of said model. Oh well, I'm paying out the ass to insure it, might as well enjoy the car!

just think how bad it would be if you actually didn't live with your parents and had some responsibilities like mortgage/rent, utilities, home owners fees, taxes, etc...
