How cheap are you?

I'd pride myself in being a frugal guy but this one tops it.

I too enjoy being frugal, but some people take that word above and beyond.

All I think about is "Extreme Cheapskates" on TLC. Road kill connoisseurs, dumpster divers for chicken and meats, the guy who made fish head stew from old fish behind a vendor...

wtf.

There's a fine line between being frugal and having some type of a disorder.

I have a buddy, actually who am I kidding he's actually my best friend. He likes to top off every bottle of whatever he buys in the supermarket. Things like body liquid soap, detergents, basically anything liquid with a screw cap. When he gets sick, he goes and just pops open what ever medicine he needs, swallows it and leaves. I keep telling him its theft and he says these fuckers are over charging on meds and not filling damn liquids to the top lol.

Also another cheap buddy of mine likes to steal coupons from people's houses. He doesn't steal money or anything of value but just coupons like McDonald's that comes with the flyers.

Both these fuckers of mine have multi-million dollar net worth ...

I'm a different type of cheap. I haggle on everything. Can't help it, I'm Chinese.

I can't stand cheap people. Going out with someone who is cheap is like pulling teeth. Its one thing to not have money to spend on frivolous things but when someone is clearly doing well and taking advantage of others is what I can't stand.

I think it's good to be frugal, but Nkc, your buddy is so weird for thinking it's ok to steal medicine like that!
I'd say I can be frugal and will buy things at the dollar store when possible, but also don't hesitate to spend on a nice car, house and world travel.

I lost it at re-using a paper towel to dry herself off with after squirting the water bottle to clean herself after a dump.

I have a coworker who has to go to the ATM every single day to get money to buy lunch. He went to another coworkers batchelor party in Montreal and would only take $20 out of the ATM at a time. They told me he must have taken 25 trips in a single night at the strip club.

Don't some banks have a flat fee for ATM use

Here's what I find especially irrational about her behavior. She presumably spends some non-trivial amount of time going to "freebie events" and filling out forms for free samples and browsing the internet for coupons and so forth.

Why doesn't she simply get a second, part time job and work weekends? I bet she would make up the difference and then some with the extra income she'd be bringing in. Any time she went to the bathroom the toiletries and water usage would be essentially free to her (at work). And, depending on the nature of her work, she may even be eligible for free meals.

The ultimate goal should be increasing one's liquid net worth. Cutting costs is only half of the equation.

That's the most infuriating thing about this lady... she's a CPA and makes a very good living. She's not living like this because she has to or because she's barely getting by, but rather because she has become obsessed with saving. She paid off her $200,000 studio in 9 months and puts $4k into savings and another $1k into her 401k each month. Like I said before, she has a disorder.

Some people's ultimate goal is to get as many views and subscriptions to their youtube channel as possible. That's why i don't click on garbage like this.

I'm speechless...
Why does she live like that???? Eating dumpster food and she works as a CPA saving $5k a month...
She completely misses the point of life....She's wasting earth's real estate.

Exactly, why help these people make money for doing nothing more than post a video.

I can not watch any of these shows on TV for more than a few minute, the pure craziness of these people drive me nuts, and for all the good shows that the Discovery Network puts on, these shows are worse then watch Jerry Springer. I feel bad for the film crews who follow these people around, I guess that is what happens when you flunk out of film and media school.

But what about that cute little kid that was drugged out after visiting the dentist?

He made over $100k from YouTube views. If his parents are decent people, that money generated can earn interest at which point when he is 18 can have college covered and possibly his first piece of real estate.

^ other than the drugged out kid, I never heard of the rest, but then again I do not spend that much time on youtube looking for people doing stupid things, that is why I have all of you, you guys seems to find the best ones and post them. But watch an hour long show of crazy people on TV is not my thing, crazy is not funny for 30 min to an hour, 30 second maybe at the most.

That, was entertaining.

Admittedly i haven't watched this video, but from the comments above, i doubt it's entertaining.
