Yeah I would think giving up the Gallardo and the Exige for a Cobra kit car is a downgrade. To each their own I guess.... Maybe getting a cobra is fulfilling a childhood dream.

That car is an Elise, not an Exige. imo he made a stupid buy, the Elise is the car I'd want most on that list just below the Gallardo.

The elise is the best car there... it needs stock wheels though. those ones are spinning so it's hard to tell what they are. The Lambo is cool too... The Shelby is a POS.

the guy's full of it, that kit car is like $60k (I think) for the roller, and then you have to buy the motor/trans.

not that it's a small amount of money, but that kit shelby is nowhere near 300 grand

They look like Volks, which are lighter than even the sport pack wheels. But yeah you definatly don't want to put heavier aftermarket wheels on an Elise.

So I know nothing about Cobra kit cars..as you can tell this guy cares very little about costs of stuff. I know you would hate to be in his position.

BTW, the owner...his family is in the software biz.

Well, an e-buddy...but he has travelled out here on a few occasions and we have met for dinner and such. I have known him for 8-9 years. He posts on one of the forums that I am an admin/moderator/editor on...he is also a moderator.
