7 Series with chrome stip painted

I was driving along today, and happened to see a BMW 750 and noticed it looked a lot better then they usually do. I'm not too smitten with the looks of the 7 series and I wondered why it looked better than normal, then it hit me! The driver had painted over the chrome strip, or did something to get rid of it, and it looked MUCH better than with it. Sorry no pics but I had never seen it before, just sharing.

I like the 7 a lot more since the facelift. Not sure about the chrome but there's a nice blacked out 760 in the next office space to me and it looks sweeet. Car is black and the 760i/V12emblems are black. Nice!

Exactly, including the chrome strip on the trunk lid inbetween the two tail lights. I am picking up that exact car in about a week, 07 750i with sport. I will be sure to post pics!:rocks:

i honestly like the chrome trim..it looks classy..but im sure when youre in a 7er you dont have to worry bout looking classy..so whatever matches your taste is the best..i think the black trim is called "shadowline" or somethin

You can get the "shadowline trim" as a separate option on the 7 series now. Only $350, cheaper than getting it with the sport package for about $3200.

Not bad, but IMHO, the sport package rims make/break the car. The sport steering wheel is nice too...

The color is Barbera Red. The rear strip is painted the same color as the car when you get sport pack. Sport also comes with Shadowline Trim which is also now available as a stand alone option. That should end off the confusion.
That was also last years sport because it has 19's and the sport now comes with 20's from the old 760i standard wheel.
