****Mercedes SLR McLaren****

So I'm working as a valet at a very 'prominent' hotel in the city. I pull up to our lot today and immediately I see that there's a brand new Mercedes SLR McLaren sitting there... GUYS! HOLY CRAP!! This car is ridiculous. Honestly... I didn't really like the styling that much, I guess it's not my style, but I think it was the drool factor for me.. just knowing that this car was around $450,000. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive it- I just missed the key- and one of my goober friends drove it who isn't exactly a car guy. Everyone was asking him how it was, and he was like, yeah it was nice.

He obviously had no idea what he was driving. Here's some pictures I got- notice the exhaust. I didn't know the exhaust was like that. Quad exhaust coming out the sides right behind the rear wheels.

I didn't get to hear it!!!

But I'm sure it sounded pretty BA. I was actually pulling around an 06 SL500 at the time, and that sounded awesome, so I'd imagine the SLR would be even better... about $300,000 better

the SLR is one hot car!!! i like it alot, and i like the fact that it has a maclaren name on it

but honestly, next to Enzo or carrera GT, it would be my 3rd choice

It's funny how everytime I'm at Mercedes, there's either an SLR or a Maybach in for service/repairs. My SA can't understand it either, there are only about 60 combined SLR's and Maybachs here and there is always at least one in the shop 5 days a week. The dealer has a separate section in the main service bay, totally sealed off with walls and windows so that these cars aren't exposed to their "lesser" Mercedes brethren when being worked on

I love the fact that the SLR is practical enough in it's design that it can be a daily driver, it's probably the only supercar I know of that isn't virtually sitting on the ground.

I've noticed... at least here in Oregon a lot of people bring out their nice cars to go holiday shopping. I've seen some very nice cars on the road today.

Ferrari's, Bently, Maserati's, M5's, Rolls, Porsche's to name a few.
