Question on folding mirrors

I set the following to "aktiv"

FEM_BODY 3110
PfExter
ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv nicht_aktiv Unfold Mirrors on vehicle unlock via Key Fob or Comfort Access.

After coding, mirrors fold when holding down CA button (door handle) and they unfold when unlocking door (with CA handle or keyfob).

Mirrors will not fold when holding down keyfob lock button. Am I missing something in coding or is this just the way it works?

The only coding guide I've seen KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB and KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA discussed is the one recently released by Halsifer. The Google docs coding guide and the BMW coding database windows app don't have this listed....Can you recommend a better coding guide?

BTW, KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA is factory set "aktiv" on CA cars.

OK, I'm giving up on this I think I've spent more hours trying to code this, than I think I would actually have spent using the internet in the car. I've just gone back to my original VO and recoded all the mods I had in previously.

So you got the BT Data service to show up. Have you tried doing a BMW Assist update with the ghost VIN on CMB_MEDIA?

I tried doing this for an F10 on 52.3 a while back and we were able to get the Bluetooth Data Service to show up but the "Update BMW Assist" option was greyed out.

Maybe. Try adding S540A Cruise control to FA, and VO Coding ICM, FEM_BODY, and Kombi. Your LIM Button would become CC button though, and LIM would not function. I thought though if car had LIM, it also already had CC.

No. ///M-HUD requires ///M-Kombi.

Well, my new 6WB Kombi was $2k, so I expect it would be in that neighborhood.

As for compatibility, I think there will be some issues with ///M-Komibi in non ///M car due to different DME, Gearbox and different Steering wheel.

On ///M car, FDS signal comes from DME, and not ICM, and Gear position comes from DKG instead of EGS, so Gear Display and FDS Display's would not work. And without ///M Steering wheel, you won't have the M1 and M2 buttons.

I'm really bothered by why it wouldn't work. The instructions were so simple to follow and even my checks all pointed to me doing the right stuff.

Does anyone know if those sample VINs still work or have they been blacklisted?

I feel like I'm getting sucked back into this

It's possible those VINs no longer have valid subscriptions to the services. I'm using a VIN from a 2013 F10 with NBT for the Browser and Live and that works no problem.

It might have something to do with the newer CIC updates too preventing people from going onto their servers without CMB_ECALL or a TCB.
