Which is why im in a sticky situation. THIS lens is no longer made but still costs a whopping £2.3k IF you can find one. Problem is, if it breaks I dont know if Canon can fix.
There is the Canon 200 f2L IS which is current but costs more but I need to try it before I can say yes. |

Agreed. I have to thank Canon for being insane to make this.
Tomorrow, we should have a whole flurry of lenses at a Rollerderby event Should see 70-200's, Sigma 120-300's, the 200L, 300L, 400L. Should be interesting. |

Rent security or pack heat. Even I'm tempted to fly over there and jack you. :P

That is one huge lens! But it has to be that big to be that fast.
Luckily for myself (and anyone else near Seattle), we actually have a pretty good shop offering lens rentals. http://www.glazerscamera.com/rentals...as-lenses.html They even rent bodies. I don't have a Canon, but if I did, that lens rents for $50 a day. If you pick it up on Friday after 3:00 PM, you return it by 10:00 AM Monday and it counts as "one day." Not bad!

Good thing is with Lensesforhire is you pick it up or have it delivered a day before you hire starts and drop or send it back a day after your period finishes. So a three day rental is in theory 5. I will defo rent this again. AF was not as quick as other Canon lenses but just need more practice with it. |
