We can keep going. If you order same Apex wheels in 20x9, they will cost more than the Vossen HF-5 I mentioned. Also we're talking about different purpose wheels. You are talking about light, small diameter wheels for tracking. Apex, Enkei, Forgeline etc. I'm talking about wheels for a good build, those naturally tend to be larger and hence more expensive.

It's not news that big wheels are more expensive than small wheels. Exactly why I'm moving from 19s to 17s. Wheels are an expensive factor in tracking and a consumable item, they don't last forever. But it's nice to have discounted replacement costs too. Not touting this as an Apex thing, pretty sure most of the big guys offer this, and yet another reason little, rebranded or discount wheel shops aren't always the deal they seem like upfront. |

i am just after light wheels. if i were to get the heavy Vossen wheels then i might as well stick with stock.
not sure why i'm obsessed with weight. must be one of those people. have a set of Enkei RPF1 18x9 that weigh 16.5 lbs each! hitting potholes with skinny 19" tires on dodgy wheels are what i'm afraid of. the roads here are pretty average at best, and terrible after a storm - water seems to create potholes. says a lot about the road surface materials. I'd be curious too. Might grab some wheels for the e36 if they're real cheap.

Have a connection in China. Or 小红书 is another decent spot.
Edit: One more thing, unless you do boat shipping air shipping wheels from china is about $500 a pop including tariff. Figure 2 weeks for air and 5-9 for boat depending on if you do slow or fast shipping. Customs entry through port will be slower.

The 18x9.5 Advan RSIII's (flow formed) where about $400/set more expensive than the 18x9.5 Titan7 T-S5 or T-R10 wheels, which are forged. |
