Does the car get smelly after the removal of the cats? Does the rear diffuser/bumper get all dirty?

Couldn't tell you, as my car is black. I doubt it would be an issue, unless your exhaust isn't aligned properly - which would be another problem in itself. |

Yeah I had one but it made my car run funny and unstable..it would sputter and have delays in acceleration. It also wouldn't throttle blip as easily when I would attempt to rev-match. Maybe it doesn't like manual transmissions or something. I don't know haha it definitely pissed me off though.

Mine is also manual. I chalk them up to being the hiccups of a tuned car.
They really shouldn't be prominent enough to deter you from installing it. I can rev-match just fine; just have to press the gas in a bit further. The car is really only moody like that, if you don't let her warm up. Girl likes to be cuddled. |

I installed the JB4 today and all was good until about 30min ago (so about 7 hours, only about 1 hrs worth of driving) when I got a check engine light and I started to get no boost. I think it was my boost solenoid connector coming loose, I was having some issues with getting it to snap in place correctly. I tried my best to get it on as snug as possible so I'm gonna take it for a drive in the morning and see if I'm still getting the issue |

You should definitely try to come! I have a bunch of friends coming; we have a caravan from White Plains.
There's always something that goes wrong haha. Start by seeing if your sensors are plugged in backwards - I've heard that is an easy mistake to make. If that doesn't work, try reverting your MAF sensor back to stock - assuming your JB4 is running ISO 5.3. Did you update it? |

So, an easy way to check if it has been updated, is to plug it into your computer (assuming you have the USB cable), and run the JB4 software. If you don't have the cable, you can open up the JB4 box and check if the diode has been cut. Edit: Just kidding; I guess you have the cable, since you said you're going to hook it up to your computer lol. If it says that you're running the latest ISO, try reverting your MAP sensor to stock. The new version no longer utilizes that sensor. If it doesn't work, at least you've narrowed it down. |

Well anyway after I uploaded the hex file and started the car up the in dash blinker signals were just flashing randomly and the "gauge sweep" kept going up and down, even while I was driving both of these were going on. So I turned off the guage sweep function and it seemed to solve the problem and after I drove for a bit I turned that function back on and it seemed to work properly. So I think I'm in the clear for now. EDIT: Just checked my Firmware Version - it read : 8/17/12//0 and my Interface Version read - 1/1/2014, Is this the most up to date? Or how do I update the Firmware Version ? Last edited by Chris_Rav; 03-31-2014 at 11:19 AM.. |

Oh god, wait!! Did you cut the diode? If not, then do not drive that thing until you do so!
Take a look here: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17800 There's instructions on how to do it (super easy), and download links for the latest firmware (5.3). If I recall correctly, I believe that my firmware date was inaccurate as well on the JB4 interface. |
