Went to Nantucket for dinner yesterday. French dip dinner, warm bread with honey butter, and a cold 420. ~$30.

I'm single and saving pennies. But if i do take a girl out, it comes out to about $40-$50. This one time when i was in Cali, i met this girl, took her to a steak house and the bill was the highest i've paid in my life. $150!!!!!!

I fcuked her so hard that night, i made sure i got my moneys' worth.
It's the internet, everyone is a baller.

But in all seriousness, I rarely spend much over $100 on a dinner. And usually it's because we buy some wine and a dessert. I cook most of the time.

We really don't go out that often because we're saving for a bigger purchase...

+1

I love Texas Roadhouse, the food is great and their rolls are amazing...I spend less than $70 for two.

$50-70 tops I'd say, but she usually orders 1 drink, and I don't really drink alcohol much.

We are both more than happy to go out and have a dinner wherever. $500 food doesn't always taste better than $5 food.

Some days you want to feel fancy sure, but a majority of the time I enjoy "regular joe" food than the crazy shit. Not to mention its far more casual which to me = enjoyable.

Wow there. I've lived in Socal all my life and OC since 1987 and 5K take home a month and you will live just fine much more than a start. No you won't be able to rub elbows with those that think they are rich( half the population here thinks they are rich) but you will live just fine.

BTW got to ask, aren't you in Nola and he's in OC? How do you go out 5 nights a week? Something here seem logistically difficult?

To answer OP $100 a time average, we eat out maybe once a week as we cook, simple meals weekdays usually have friends over and BBQ weekends.

Monthly
With the mortgage and all condo expenses (cable electr, water, etc) being $3k
5 Cars with insurance being another $3K Mine, ex's, oldest daughters, and his two.
Then $3k in child support (from a previous marriage not including the costs to raise our own infant daughter)
Health insurance for everyone at $1,100
Thats more than half right there.

We could not get by on just 5k a month.

About $3 for two people..two hot dog and soda combos at Costco. If we're feeling Italian then we'll splurge on a $10 pizza..also from Costco.

Trust me, we have a lot of those meals too. Best hot dogs are the ones from the Home Depot stand.

I do have a F82 on order, haha. But no, I don't make more than $5k/month, lol. I just don't have a lot of expenses, I'm single, and I don't have any kids. Cars are my biggest passion/hobby. I spend around $275/mo. for car insurance, $225/mo. for gas, $185/mo. for health insurance, $400/mo. on food & groceries, and $110/mo. on my cell phone bill. And soon, I'll have a car payment for the F82. But I financed for 75 months at 2.29% and put a $20k down payment on it, so it won't be too high. I still have a decent bit left over at the end of each month, which either goes into a savings account or random things I want to buy (electronics mostly).

True that. They also have some great spicy Polish sausage and brats.
