Why ME?!?!?!!?!

So here's what happened: I am going home from the mall and i stop by a Jamba Juice. As i am walking back to my car and am about to get in i notice a white streak on the left quater panel.

As i take a closer look IT A STR:mad:TCH about eight inches in length. it is DEEP in one section reaching the metal. someone was REALLY trying.
I was only in the Jamba Juice 5 minutes WTF?? Why do these dumba$$'s exist??

So now i really gotta do something cause it is VERY noticable on JEt BLAck.
Any Ideas

sorry about the pics its a cameraphone and my car hasn't been washed in a week.

But what do i do now??
Can i use some touchup paint and laquer(clear coat) and then try to buff it out?? or is that just gonna jack it up more.

Sorry dude, I can't tell ya how much I think that sucks. I don't think you can fix it yourself, unless you're an expert. Send a pm with a pic to George from "detailed image" and see what he suggests. He knows his shit.

sorry man. I swear people like that need to be ran over (preferably an E90).

Dont mean to hijack the thread but here's a story to show how some people are just very inconsiderate.

A few weeks back we went to a Toyota dealer looking to buy a scion for my brother. THe salesman that helped us was a dude I went to 4 different schools with (elementary- college). Since the scion lot was down the street he took us in another car.

It was almost out of gas so he parked the car in front of the dealer and went inside to get the gas card. When he came out he opened the door and it hit the car next to it. Guess whose car that was?? MINE!!! The dude didnt even look!! Luckily it was the camry and there was no chip or mark or else I woulda socked him in the face for that.

I sure do hope you said something.

Similar thing happened to me once. I was coming out of a store with my friend. Go up to my car right before I do, I see a passenger in a Mustang open the door and knick my car. There was enough room he just opened the door so much. Looks at the door and then gets up and shuts the door.

I asked him what was his problem He was atleast 30 or so. I then saw no damage was down just a little knick.

I was like "ey man that's my car!!" to which his reply was "ohh reallY? Im sorry". THere was no damage so I let it go.

I just dont get how some people can be so ridiculously inconsiderate. Why cant they just walk by people's cars and leave them the F*ck alone? Why cant they just be a bit more careful? I mean it's not like it's gonna kill them.

It could have been simply an accident, you know. Some overstuffed woman with an overstuffed purse walking by and the clasp bumped up against the quarterpanel. Why is it that everyone jumps to the conclussion that every scratch is caused by a jealous passerby? Swim out to the deeper end of the societal pool, please.

Are you kidding me? loook at the picture. He also said it was DEEP! Do you actually think this was caused by a purse? (or somelthing like it?) Swim back to the reallity pool please.

do you have visibility problems? I wouldn't assume that if there was no proof. Look at the pictures, do those look like scratches made by a purse or bag?!? It is possible that it could have been made with some other object I.E. tools and such but does an accident mean they could simply walk away without fault? And if you ever get into the minds of other people, A LOT are haters and are jealous that aim just to fuck up your car because it's better than theirs. It's not that we think were better than other people, they ASSUME we think that. There's a lot of idiotic people in this world that commit the most ridiculous things ever. Swim out to the deeper end of the reality pool, please.

If I didn't think it could be caused by a purse I wouldn't have posted the hypothesis. I've seen scratches in paint that look like those in the supplied photo that WERE cause by a metal clasp on a purse or by a belt buckle. And I am in the deep end of the reality pool and swimming nicely, thank you very much.

Well I guess I get what you're saying. But if it was caused by a purse or belt buckle, then under normal circumstances it can easily be buffed out. This guy says it's "deep", which to me means it would take a lot of effort (or maybe a 400 lb fat guy who fell) to make that mark by "accident". The length of the scratch also dictates that it wasn't an accident, imo.

Peace out. Please enjoy your swim.
