I Don't Understand People
Coming out of a Walgreens and into the parking lot, I see this:
At this point my heart drops and I am almost certain that the person hit my car... At least from my angle of perspective. Here is how close they parked to me: Now you are probably asking what I did... Well I waited for the owner to come out and after 5 minutes, sure enough the guy comes out and says "nice car". So I answer, "Thanks, but why the f*** would you park so close??", to which he answers "I don't know man, its just a car". So I answered "I know its just a car, but its MY PROPERTY. Why would you intentionally park so close as to almost hit it? How would you like it if I broke your windows? I mean its just a car..." He just got in his car and left. I HATE THESE INCONSIDERATE IMBECILES. |

for the most part, people have no respect or consideration for others or their property. to him "its just a car," but he is too shortsighted to see that to someone else it might mean more. what a dick.

I had that exact thing happen to me about 2 months ago, except the moron was touching my bumper. He tried to deny that he parked 3 feet over the line, until I showed him the pictures I took before I moved my car to check for the damage, and until the policeman told him he saw his truck resting against my bumper before I moved it.
Costed his insurance company $78X.XX to fix

I have a rear trailer hitch on my SUV, and have had cars hit it twice. The first time was with a Pontiac Sunfire coming to a stop behind me (I was already stopped for quite some time), and the second time, a Lexus SC300 parking behind me while I was eating my lunch in the vehicle. People cannot judge distance very well, and quite frankly, often don't care.

I never once yelled or raised my voice at the guy, I understand that people don't always do things on purpose. Moreover, scroll up and re-read my post. I never said that the guy hit me; all that he did and what I accused him of is parking way too close for comfort. This is my issue and something that I want some clarification on. Why must people park so close? Or why did the guy park in such a way, that he crossed the yellow line separating both cars, by at least 3 feet. I will take your statement in stride though and if I see your car, I will make it my first priority to park as close as possible without touching. At that point, we'll examine your reaction. |

I'm gonna agree with cars4lyfe to an extent on this one.
I understand how this could annoy you op, but if the guy didn't hit your car then there's no reason for you to confront him. I mean, if the guy boxed you in from the side, I'd see that as worthy of mention, but jesus, he didn't touch a thing, why make it a big deal. I would've been genuinely confused if I was the owner of that car and you confronted me about a situation similar to this. And in defense of cars4lyfe, the way you worded your dialogue by using "why the f***" and "what if I broke you windows??" had me thinkin you rose your voice against that minivan owner. Chill man. I agree, just like you and all the others on this board, my car is basically my most valued posession. However what you did was overreacting.

Got some small feet in NYC. The picture you posted doesn't corroborate your statement.

that's crazy dude, I know it 's just a car but really how difficult is it for your wife or kids to exit one car without hitting the other? Either tell them to stop or get a larger garage. If they do it at home they'll do it out in public. Bump the wrong car and you'll have problems.

Hey dude, look at what happened to me. This is even more bewildering than your situation. No I don't know him, yes the parking lot was completely empty, and yes he just HAD to park in the very spot next to me.
