Look at this, so sad

One of our fellow members on this board (not naming any names) has his own auto blog posted in his signature. Look at what he has to say about the M3 on this blog.

Yep, when you say best car in the world, you know its the Nissan GT-R. Here, watch it destroy and eat M3's and Porsche GT3's. I love how people think they are hardcore driving a M3. You aren't! The GT-R is way more hardcore, same price, and FAR superior in just about every way. The M3, face it, is a compromise between luxury and track ability. The guy who bought the M3 in this video is not happy about his purchase after driving the two other studs.
Oh, yeah have a look at the whole thing too.

Car enthusiasm and maturity don't necessarily go hand in hand. This behaviour usually has to do with personal issues and home life. It is a symptom of a deeper problem.

even as blogs go, this one is not worth talking about unless you want to hear what an underdeveloped young man with a wealthy family thinks about all things automotive.

Reading personal blogs is like watching drunk people throw up. It pretty much sucks.

How can you expect someone who never earned their cars, to respect them?

My first car was the hardest I've ever worked to obtain and to this day I miss the appreciation I had for it. Now that work is much easier and money comes much faster, it just isn't the same as working three jobs for your first true love. I had much more respect for cars in general back then, now it's just 'eh'. No worries, I'm working on working harder

i respect most if not all cars. i did not buy my own car. am i an outlier in your generalization?

there are people who earn their cars yet treat them as if they were JUST cars (a little scratch here... a few dents here and there?, oh well)... *shrugs* appreciation is really relative to the person... not necessarily as much as how you got the car.

Looks like a pretty good assessment of the performance disparity between the GTR and M3, and judging by your reaction, he might be on to something about the mindset of M3 owners.

I think people bitch too much. GT-R was known to be a Z06 killer from the get go, before it was even unraveled for the first time. It's not a secret to any M3 buyer that the GT-R is faster, both in straight line and on the track. The assumption that he makes that M3 drives made "the wrong choice" is dumb, because not everyone wants a GT-R. I think it's funny when self-proclaimed auto enthusiasts don't appreciate the assortment of cars availible, and only look at lap times.

I like the RS4, but I would much rather have an M3 (and I don't), while someone else might want the quattro over RWD. There's too much hate between brands and models, which is a true display of ignorance and has nothing to do with true auto enthusiasm that should be part of net car communities.
