I had similar thoughts.. I hope it comes with performance numbers to match, I'd be in there like swimwear.

Nice.
So the pic of the speedometer with 8000 +rpm redline confirms that it is a carryover of the RS4 engine with some upgrades! I don't think it can be a V10(never did). And forced induction would have had a lower redline rating. Hmm, one thing I'm sure about is that, who ever owns this car will have a sweet sounding V8. I just love the noise made by this engine.

Give it a few months after release for the tuners to de-code and let's talk again. |

The 'ring is going to be a very scary place... can you imagine Sabine in the next M3/M5 tearing after this RS monster, GT-Rs, and lord knows what Porsche will do?

^ I read the Panamera coupe is a go. TT and PDK.
A writer from Motor Authority said this yesterday regarding the Audi. The new RS5 is scheduled to go on sale in Europe this July and previous spy shots of prototypes testing in the U.S. suggest the car could be in local showrooms by the end of the year. |

I guess we'll keep our GT-R then.

I find the front grille utterly repulsive. The seats are quite lovely.

Yeah, probably a wise move. After all VW already have other cars in it's line up to compete with GTR, namely the R8v10 and 997.2tt. On this occasion VW have the M3 firmly in it's cross-hairs.
In any case why is people concerned about their beloved M3, it's following will mostly stay loyal because it's rwd and will drive and behave differently to that of the RS5. I just think it's great to have another car of the market place of the caliber of the M3. |
