Wow, I went to that forum and it is hilarious to see how nervous and how everyone there has a complex about BMW and Mercedes. You see almost everyone's sig has some derogatory saying about BMW or Merc in it. Just hilarious. It's like they have to try and convince themselves that their cars are good.

Well the 911 Turbo is more of a straight line car anyway. A GT3 would slaughter the R8 and for less money too

Gosh the R8 is a stunning piece of kit.

It's light, fast, and it handles. It beat that 911 Turbo by 3 seconds on a short track! A towering achievement. And the design makes the Porsche look positively ancient. Dowdy even.

Audi picked up the Chalice of Sports Car Cool and put it on higher shelf. And they rode off into the sunset while the others reached for the stool

I now see the genius of Audi buying Lamborghini. And I don't give a damn how badass that V10 (God help porsche) is, the V8 is The Engine for that chassis.

Isin't the 911 turbo the fastest Porsche (except the Carrera GT of course)?

I thought the GT3 is a little slower....than the 911 turbo that is.

just b/c the GT3 is more of a "track" car doesn't really make the Turbo a drag car. to say its better in a straight line than it is in the twisties is a joke.
