Good looking dyno. I'm sure this car will be a great car for 8k less than a 335. Sounds like a good buy to me. Infiniti makes great cars.

The 335 has more upside with chipping, but off the showroom floor, I wouldnt doubt if the G37 outdoes the 335 in 0-60 and 1.4 mile times. I know we are talking probably a tenth or two here and there.
How can you be taken seriously after those comments? have you seen the dyno to the 335 and compared them to the infiniti engine, there is no way it's faster than the 335 0-60 or in the quarter. Unless it was significanlty lighter which we all know it isn't. it's has 18 more hp than the 335 but the 335 has alot more torque to the wheels 280+ to the infiniti's 230. torque is all that matters from a dig!! go ask the M5 owners who race AMGs.

The best part about the 335i power delivery is how flat the torque curve is.... You get linear torque through most of the RPM band, the more torque you can apply to the drive wheels for longer, the faster the acceleration....

With the G37, torque is low and it is peaky. Also, the nimrods at Nissan can't build an engine that breathes properly at redline so you actually lose torque close to redline.

If you think this car will be a monster, just wait until the Skyline comes out.

I am kinda dumb but the 335i has a flat torque curve from 1700 rpm til 5000 or so.

The torque for the G37 is lower and starts to plateau around 3000 rpm and "peaks" at 4500. So I am guilty of misusing "peaky"

Don't call people names!
I did and received a warning from the Administrator.

Either way, the G37 has about 50 torque less than the 335i and about the same horsepower, giving the fact that plenty of member dynoed their cars stock at about 285 whp. From my understanding it will be a little heavier too.

The biggest drawback that the 335 has vs the G37 is the lack of LSD, but in a straight line 0-60 or 1/4 mile, the 335 will have no problem passing the G.

Will have to wait and see what the outcome will be.
