CIC/NBT FSC Generator - Windows/Linux/OSX

Hello community,

I have map version: NBTevo.

I inserted the USB with the maps pkg and nfm files into my car. It is asking for a code.

Can someone help me getting a code and where to copy the code.

Hoping someone can give me some advice. I have a 520d 2014 model, seems to be NBT. I have seen software by Jaegar, question is can i generate a FSC code manually? What would happen if the FSC is incorrect out of interest?

Some time ago I had E90 with CIC and I was able to download 1B file and generate FSC.

Now I have F10 with NBT (year 2016) and I can with the script to download file to USB.
I have tried 1.91 generator and "by date" option, but it's not working. Any Tips?

I'm planning to update to EUROPE WEST NEXT 2022-2

You need to generate your code using the DE file extracted from your headunit

It depends on the Head Unit. Some lock on wrong code.

FSC Generator cannot not make working ROUTE FSC Codes.

I don’t know I’m sorry, all I know is I entered my code incorrectly once with a simple typo since obviously it’s quite long, entered the correct code and all was fine to complete my map update.

You waste your time. FSC Generator cannot make working Route FSC Codes.

Since yesterday I am a happy owner of a F20 (1 series) from 2017. As far as I know this had NBT Evo ID5/ID6, so the question is, what is the procedure to update navi maps? It has currently "Road Map EUROPE EVO 2016-4".

Annually I update the map in my X1 from 2013, but that is CIC. So the procedure (get the 1b.hex file -> generate code -> download map and use code) doesn't work here.

I am not sure if there is an FSC code generation possible at all for NBT Evo ID5/ID6. I am reading this site since 2-3 hours, but it is not clear to me if it is doable or not.
Could someone help me out with this?

EVO ID5/6 FSC Code is not a simple 20 Digit Alphanumeric code that is entered into Head Unit via the iDrive Controller. These can easily be generated. EVO FSC Code is an actual digital certificate file, signed with BMW AG's Private Key.

Hello Jagaer,

many thanks for your tool and your great support in this forum. I spent some time the past days to generate a valid FSC code for my F01 7 series (2015, with NBT head unit). As far as I understood, the model (3, 4, ... 7 series) makes no difference and thus, the FSC generator also could work for my car.

My feedback:

There is a problem with the Linux versions (GUI and command line version). They both crash with segmentation fault (on Ubuntu 20.04)
immediately after starting.
So, I launched the Windows version with Linux WINE - it starts up nicely. I wanted to generate the FSC "by date" but no matter what I did
I never came to the point where I could select a date. After entering the VIN, the corresponding field no longer is grayed out, but there is no
date that I could chose. The drop down box simply is empty.
I then decided to run your program in a virtual machine under boring Windows. There, the effect was the same: The date selection field was empty.

I started a small investigation with Linux strings and Wireshark and found that the file RSAKeys.txt is loaded from the internet. However, it was
almost empty: It only contained 13 bytes:

I deleted the file so the program was forced to re-download it when started again. The size remained 13 bytes. Hm... I then downloaded it myself with

wget cicfsc.com/RSAKeys.txt

and... RSAKeys.txt now has 42 KBytes! 42 must be right ;-)

Maybe I'm not the only one to encounter this problem, maybe you see in the log files of your web server what has gone wrong. Seach for lines with user agent "wget" and you'll find my IP address (I guess that there won't be many wget user agent strings). With that one you'll be able to find all the program's unsuccessful attempts for downloading RSAKeys.txt.

Anyway, it still looks as if I am out of luck: My VIN's date is 10. April 2015. The nearest dates before/after are 20150309 and 20150609. There's no sense
in trying these and I'll have to buy a cable and extract that DE file with ISTA, right?

Of course, I appreciate your efforts. I have downloaded and extracted NA 2021-2. I have generated a code with your 11.91 generator; HOWEVER...there are no instructions as what to do with this code.

I dropped it into the root of the flash drive and still update stuck at 0% - then times out stating the usual: please insert...valid...into USB Drive1.
