Awful playing by the finnish team. The worst game of this tournament by far but thankfully managed to defeat team USA (4 - 3). The canadian referee wasn't up to the task either, IMO.

i missed the game, i was sleeping..haha...the recaps seemed like the finns were a little sluggish. only 3 shots in the 3rd?? no excuses, we better step it up against either the canadians or the russians for the next game.

Kudos to the Swedes, although I was pulling hard for Finland to win gold. I thought the game was tied in the last 1:30, but Lundqvist was spectacular.

Now let's get back to the NHL games. I'm excited to see what my Flyers will do now that the lineup is pretty much healthy (knock on wood).

I figured a quick response to my anti-Ranger sentiment. Any news on Jagr? I saw him sitting on the bench during the Bronze medal game.

Esche didn't look too good in his only game giving up 5 - but then again Team USA wasn't as strong as Team Finland. Nor were the Canadians. I'd hate to be anywhere near a bridge up North.

Finally... the injury riddled Flyers received good news today. No, make that exceptional news. Keith Primeau joined the team in practice today and particpiated in full-contact drills. He's been out of the lineup for 5 months with post concussion syndrome & it was assumed he'd be out until 06-07.

Although the team is choosing words carefully in speaking about the playoffs - one reporter said that several players close with Primeau believe he will return for the start of the playoffs.

Damn straight! W00t! :rocks: Waited 8 years for this. I just hope we can nail the division. I'd have to say, any team in the playoffs has a legit chance at the cup. It's not like the bottom half are pushovers. Everybody's a contender.

Selfishly, I realize the Flyers need Primeau. But for his sake, he should just sit out until next season. Maybe a phone call to Eric Lindros would help him decide.

I was just talking about this with a friend yesterday. When was the last time you remember all 16 teams making the playoffs having 90+ points? It's entirely possible the 16th best team, the defending Cup Champions, ends up with 95 points.

Back to the Rangers/Flyers and the division... What kind of reward will winning the division bring? A first round matchup with the streaking Devils? You guys can have it. GLADLY. The Devs are 9-0-1 in their last 10, and with the NHL slowly allowing the clutching & grabbing to return I really don't feel like watching a boring first round.

If the Rangers win the division the Flyers get Buffalo, who are really struggling. If the Devils leapfrog the Flyers, then its a Flyers/Rangers first round. I'd be happy with that. And no, not a flame... it would be a good series. I'd just rather face Lundqvist after a few weeks off than Brodeur who is on fire.
