Shawn, I've tried going back more than a few times to see what coding got rid of the NAVI in the HUD (I think it's the Junction View look). I have looked in the KOMBI and HU_NBT and aside from changing the blinker in the HUD, I didn't change anything. I am wondering if something was changed when I took my car in for service. I had a faulty iDrive display that was faulty.

What are your thought on injecting KOMBI and NBT FDLs (I'm not sure if that's the correct terminology) to bring it back to where it should be OR I hear that there is a new firmware/software. I have a few road trips in the near future and would love this feature back. What are your thoughts?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone tried coding Sailing on pre-2014 F30? Not sure if it's possible but I found the option in HU_CIC.

If your car was Programed during service, you do NOT want to restore backed up CAFD .ncd data from old firmware into new firmware, as it very well may not match / align.

Is HU_NBT JUNCTION_VIEW_HUD = aktiv coded?

Hi Shawn, do you know if it's possible to have the speed limit displayed in the HUD like in the European models? Meaning the speed limit is in written with black fonts on a white background in a red circle that mimic closely the speed limit signs on the road, on my Canadian model it is just black font in a white square, not sure how it is on US models but most likely the same. Or this has to do with the F10 versus F30 HUD? Talking about this:

QUOTE=botho;16594038]Hy,

Just activated on my 2014 F31 with HU_NBT : Really good rendering now.
My i-step is F020-14-03-503 and MAP is Europe Next 2014-2

Yes, HU_NBT JUNCTION VIEW HUD is aktiv coded. I think my build date was in June 2013. I think I'll check to see what version I'm running and what it should have been so that I'll know if was coded during service. The odd thing is that my HUD BLINKERS and my video in motion were still there after service so that makes think that it wasn't programmed. What should I look for?

Maybe. Look in Kafas ECU at these items:

Country_code_display = wert_3
COUNTRY_VARIATION = wert_3
UNIT DISPLAY = wert_4

Have you tried resetting Kombi, HUD, and NBT by VO Coding them with original FA to see if it comes back?

No, I was hoping not to do that, honestly, because I'm a bit frightened but I really think that's the way to go. I'll be looking for a good thread VO Coding next. Can I use the Lite version or do I need the full?

PSdZData Lite is fine, and there is nothing to fear at all. Just Right-Click on each ECU (the ECU itself and not the underlying CAFD) and select Code (not Code FDL).

Oh that doesn't sound so bad. I'll try it after work. I'll keep you posted.

Hey guys,

I'm having issues with E-SYS today. Yesterday it was working fine but today the program is not opening anymore. I see the application on my taskbar but no window ever opens. I tried reinstalling and no luck.

It's probably just a Windows issue but I'm wondering if anyone ever had the same thing happen?

Thanks!

Go into Program Manager, "View Installed Updates" and sort by "Install on" date, and see if Microsoft pushed any updates to your machine in the last day.

Nothing in the past 24 hours. This is very strange...

The car's EGS Control Unit need's >= 50.4 firmware for Launch Control. Just having >= 50.4 PSdZData doesn't mean you can code the feature if the car has < 50.4 firmware. You would first have to flash new firmware onto EGS, and then code it.

PM sent.

SUCCESS and you are right - it wasn't hard. Redoing all three led to a return of Junction View to the HUD. Awesome, thank you.
