The guys in Weissach(Porsche Motorsports) are masters at building a complete race car package.(Much like //M cars) Not just an engine with wheels attached like the Viper is.

Great video!

Great vid! Viper gearing was higher seems like he ran out of steam on that long straight and the Porsche pulled away on the very top end. Great blocking by the Porsche driver. Would have love to see this from the Porsche's perspective looking back.

The GT3 driver knows what he's doing.Loved how he stole the inside line twice from the Viper at the beginning of the video.

Wasn't expecting these comments after watching the video. The Viper was clearly the faster car. He was blocked like a bitch 90% of the time.

One thing to note is that is a Gen III Viper Competition Coupe. The new Gen IV Viper ACRs are MUCH faster and handle much better... thus they hold the Ring time. The hardcore edition ACR knocks another 8 seonds off that time as well.

Great vid, definitely give props to the P-car driver defending well.

I had a few butt clench moments when both cars were in traffic!

This. Impressive restraint by the Viper driver to keep himself from ramming the Porsche off the track after some of those blocks. Or right in the beginning when he almost took the nose off the Viper... Many times it looked like the Viper would have stayed on the throttle during a turn and had to slam on the brakes to keep from hitting the P-car.

Hard to compare these two cars when they are modded. You don't know what their setups are. I would say the Porsche driver was better.

I say both drivers deserve lots of credits. Porche driver defended and kept it all the way till the end and the other driver with all the traffic and the porche blocking still was on his tail.

Wish I had those driving skills.
