Hip Hop sucks. Most of the "artists" are all thugs, gang banging terrorists and criminals. They need to learn English, the ebonics they speak is retarded, and flaunting "bling" that's not even theirs (most often rented for a video or publicity event) is about as fake and artificial as it gets.

+1...I grew up with quality hip-hop...most notably tu-pac and eminem's first album.

Hip-hop sucks nowadays (Soula Boy anyone?) There is no substance to rap. I wish it would just die completely already.

Most of the rap that exists these days is a big ripoff of techno beats with some lyrics thrown over the top.

Are they on iTunes yet? I'm pretty obsessed with Gorilla Zoe nowadays. I listen to his song "Money Man" at least once a day. I like the part where it goes, SEVENTY-5, EIGHTY-5, NINETY-5!! lol

I hate to say it but most hip hop now-a-days are garbage... Old school is the best, then theres always Eminem, Jay-Z, I've been listening to T.I., Akon, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West (But this songs became garbage after "Graduation")

btw, T.I. came out with a new single.

ATTENTION:
theres a difference between hip hop and rap. to me, rap is simply a series of rhyming sentences, paired with a generic beat; its club music, its party music. hip hop on the other hand, is conscious and informed. hip hop has a genuine and substantial message about the artists life experiences. its a deep, personal and sincere means of artistic expression. if you think the only good hip hop came out of the 80s and 90s then i feel sorry for you.

-Jus Allah
-Vinnie Paz
-Chief Kamachi
-Planetary
-Black Thought (From the roots)
-Styles of Beyond
-Hieroglyphics
-Tragedy Khadafi
-MF Doom
-Reef The Lost Cauze
-Sean Price
-Murs

I don't mind the stuff on the radio, but I get tired of those songs quickly. But the artists above are timeless to me. I can listen to their music over and over and not get tired of it.
hell yeah man. awesome taste.
me personally:
-Army of the Pharoahs (same as JMT basically)
-Jedi Mind Tricks (Kamach, Vinnie P, Jus, Planetary, Eso, Celph, Apathy, Demoz)
-Aceyalone
-Soul Position (and RJD2)
-Aesop Rock
-Cunnin Lynguists
-Doap Nixon
-Snowgoons
-Immortal Technique

immortal technique is starting to be my number one or two hip hop/rap artists. jmt/aotp will always be #1 i think.
