Body Scans at Airport, Yes or No?

I'm not asking for a political debate about privacy and the law and our rights.
Just want to know if you are personally comfortable with being "virtually strip searched."

Putting politics aside; it's fine by me!

Would hope they could only see some 1-size-fits-all pic with items highlighted if there is a problem, but sounds like the machine lets them see you virtually naked. While I don't have a problem with them seeing my own body, I do think it's an invasion of privacy.

I saw the news bit on these machines. I find it totally hilarious, you can see basically every groove on the subject's body, which at the time was some old guy's bare ass and Nads

Do you care if there is a camera on you or someone watching you when you are in the dressing room at a department store? Everytime you are in there trying on clothes, someone is watching you...they are just not allowed to record the picture, only allowed to use it to identify theft.
So what's the difference? It's okay to prevent theft but not to keep people safe on a plane?

Like the wire tapping issue, I'm all for it. I've got nothing to hide.

Yeah, I don't really care. It's for the good of the people and I really couldn't care less if a random employee sees my junk. I mean what are they gonna do? Fap to your x-ray dong during the check (which they're probably not even looking at since they're not looking for that type of package)?

Besides, they'll have to see hundreds of people a day like that. I'm pretty sure they aren't too happy about that and aren't trying to look at your dongle.

I really don't care either. If it is able to keep terrorists out of the plane then I'm all for it. On a side note, I think the TSA (and airport personnel) needs to step up their game to notice such signs.

From what I understand, this tweak has apparently been developed. So in practice, the TSA won't see Blake's hog because he will look like a Ken doll on the screen.

To answer the question, I support profiling, scanners, random searches, dogs, and anything else that gets people to their destination safely. Whether any singular preventative measure is actually effective and worthwhile is up for debate, but that's a different issue.

Yep, legally okay as long as it isn't recorded and used in almost every department store. Just not normal public knowledge that this is going on.

Kind of surprised they didn't just develop these scanners for a more low key installation and just not tell the public what they were doing.

I'm for it, but not for it at the same time. Even with it, it still will not prevent something from happening.
