need help buying desktop

im about to buy a new gaming desktop but im not too familiar with what a good/bad computer deal is. I know the basics but can anybody tell me if this is a good deal:

CPU: Intel Q6600 /w Asus Triton 70 hsf

Motherboard: Asus P5K SE/EPU

Ram: 4G Kingston HyperX PC6400

Video: XFX GTX 260 core 216

PSU: Antec NeoPower Modular 650W

HD: Maxtor 300G & 320G Sata HD

Case: Logisys UV Blue Acrylic Clear Case /w led lights

Optic Drive: HL DVD Burner

the guys is selling this locally for about $350. I thought it was a great deal but just want to make sure before buyin it!

Yes that sounds about right. Good, proven proc and a very solid single GPU card. Everything else seems good too.

what do you mean serial code? Im getting it without an OS since i have my own windows xp cd (if thats what you mean)

I think $350 is a good deal. My pc is similar to yours (I have the same cpu and video card on mine) and I spent around $900 a year ago.

Why you going with a quad? They are power hungry and dont have any real gaming benefits. Gaming rigs are my thing and Id change out the quad imo. Get something less hot and less power hungry.

yes i know quads have no big benefits but this isnt a computer i am building. I found a local selling it so i really have no choice with the specs.

Oh, I completely missed that part, sorry. I just looked at the specs. Price seems fine. Look up all those parts on newegg and see how much you will save. There could be warranty issues though.

Is this real? $350 for that stuff!! That's the price for the case and PSU. If that's legit then that's an incredible deal.

i5s are out now... and they're supposedly cheap too! (I'd go with an i7 processor just to not have to worry for 4-5 years...then you can overclock )
