I love the show.

That being said. As a guy who likes to cook, I could NEVER take his shit.

It's all about ratings and I doubt he is that big of an ass at his establishments.

And he has one of the best lap times on the Top Gear celebrity board!

The whole "Evil Gordon" is BS, he's really a nice guy. Fox just wants better ratings, so they dramatize every show they have.

Watch some of his old episodes of "Kitchen Nightmare" and it shows a more casual personality of his.

+1. On one of his episodes of Kitchen Nightmares ...he went to a restaurant right by my dad's house which was in Tuckahoe NY...it was called The Old Stone Mill at the time. We went in there and asked about how the experience was. For TV they obvi gas up alot of the conflict and such...but they said Gordon is really a nice and generous guy...who truly does want the restaurant to succeed.

I watch from time to time. I guess the winner of season 1 opened or is about to open a resturaunt in the town my parents live in (Sierra Vista, AZ)

My ex-wife's father actually spoke with Chef Ramsey and said the guy was very nice/polite, so yeah, I think most of the personality is a front for the show.

+1. I wish they would've done another kitchen nightmares season instead of hell's kitchen again. I really enjoy seeing him revamp restaurants and get under management's skin.

That was a great episode! That's cool that you got to talk to the owner about the show.

I flipped to a baseball game and missed the end. Did the cow or the donkey get booted?

I may actually get one of these.
