I didn't start watching it until last year when my co-workers kept telling me I had to watch it. I think I watched the first four seasons in about three weeks every night on Netflix!

It's a very good show, about the only thing I watch on TV. I've always been a huge zombie genre nut, so I guess you could say it's right up my alley and I'm biased. If you want to be completely surprised by everything that happens, make sure you don't read the comics version of the story because quite a few of the plotlines are the same. The TV show does keep some things fresh however (like Daryl Dixon and his brother don't exist in the comics).

Once you're caught up with the TV shows, be sure to check out The Walking Dead webisodes. There is a series for each season so far, and they give you a little background on some of the things you see in The Walking Dead series.

This.

I went there for the first time this year with my wife and it was amazing. The only downside are the lines. We waited like an hour and a half just to walk through the 'Walking Dead' area which took all of 10 minutes. Although they have about 7 or 8 of them; Halloween (Michael Myers), Dawn of the Dead, Alien v. Predator, etc.

Highly recommend it, but try to stay in Universal, you get to go in early.

There's already a really long thread on this topic.

Bottom line: the show rules. I very nearly punched out in season one. I thought it was soooo slooooow but season two hit the ground running and never stopped. I love it.

I gave first 4 seasons a shot and found it to be boring/redundant. It's the same thing each season: zombire, run, hide, scavenge, repeat. I have not seen season 5 so I cannot comment. Just not my cup of tea.

It's not a zombie show, it's a character show.

Did the same with Breaking Bad, started watching it half way through last season. Proceeded to download every season, watch them in a week and catch up to the last two episodes. Best tv I have ever watched.

Waiting for Better Call Saul in Feb.

Also watch Hell on Wheels. It is down to its last season as well. AMC does make some great tv.

Those of you near Atlanta can go see most of the areas they filmed at. Pretty cool for a side trip since most of it is pretty close to each other.
I've seen terminus near Atlanta and it's easy to just walk in. Sketchy area though.
Wood bury is actually Senoia GA. You get to see some stuff that's actually going to be coming up in the second half of this season
