Been dealing with Bluetooth connectivity issues for a while. Issue is phone randomly gets disconnected from car but does not hang up call. If reconnect to the car can't hear other caller but they can hear me. Was really hoping there would be an update to address all the problems with CIC interacting with iOS 8 devices.

Mine as well. Played fine for a couple of days, just enough to love it! Then it started craping out after 3-4 songs.

So I input my VIN, download the update, plug USB in car, go to software update, download to USB, verify its on there. Car doesn't recognize USB is there. If I go to media, then it sees it there. Any ideas?

I have an April 2010 build date, but dont see an update software on my idrive screen. I recently had my idrive controller replaced and software update, at that time i lost my Sirius satellite radio, can anyone let me know how i would go about doing an update?

Strange that it didn't work... I know it takes nearly a minute to recognize sometimes- perhaps there's an issue with your USB ports?

Good stuff, but unfortunately my Bluetooth woes remain- among them crackling sounds during Bluetooth playback, and it has already forgotten my phone's Bluetooth albeit it went far longer this time than most. I blame iOS 8X

More than likely it's the iOS 8X Apple seems to throw out new iOS's without consideration for anything, anybody else. 'Let them catch up' I think is an internal catch phrase. Why? Cuz they can! I can't tell if if the updates helped, car is napping till March, April. Best of luck!

I've been having the odd issues with bluetooth and my iPhone. I have a 2009 335 (manufactured 10/2008) and checked the BMW sites which stated my software is up to date, though it may just be brushing me off as my car is pre 2010.
I went to this page and received the following after entering my VIN Software update with BMW ConnectedDrive.a) Do they know if my software is actually up to date as it was updated by a BMW service center at some point? b) If they are just brushing me off as they don't offer a way for pre 2010 models to install bluetooth updates via USB, is it possible for me to check the bluetooth version in iDrive and update it if it's not the latest version for a 2009 e92, either updating it myself, at an Indy shop, or at the dealership? |
