2008 328ix Wheels on 2017 330ix
Hi;
New to the forum, so bear with me. I have a 2017 330ix Wagon and I want to buy used wheel/tires for winter. Someone not too far from me has 16" OEM rims for a 2008 338xi with 205 x 55 x 16 Bridgestone winter RFT's for sale. I realize that a 225 width may be preferred, but will the wheels fit. Opinions? |

One big caveat: the tire sizes of F3x are different than E9x. For instance, the 205/55R16 size is incorrect for F3x - it needs to be one size taller (profile), which would be 205/60R16. Same for 225 size tires: rather than 225/50R16, they need to be 225/55R16. Sometimes it's hard to find tires in the odder sizes (especially RFT's, because fewer of them are made.) I have go-flat winters partly for that reason. FYI, the thinking for the taller tires is so that the RFT ride would be softer. |
