thats an amazing car to be seeing in an apartment complex, but I guess everything is relative. I never guessed it would be this relative though.
No, majority of the rich people are rich before the hand over in 97, Brits really have nothing to do with their wealth. Also, keep in mind, they have a 100% car tax to discourage people from driving, unfortunately, looking at their traffic it obviously didn't make as much of an impact as the gov hope. This is kind of off topic, but if you think the rich vs proverty gap is getting larger in U.S. HK is about 3 times worst, the rich are super rich and the poor live in cages (literally)

P.S.. Imagine how much that Enzo cost with 100% car tax

Truth. I'm only 20 years old, been visiting hong kong all my life (mother is chinese, father italian), but I am starting to notice a growth in the middle class. My mother's family is upper upper upper class in hong kong so it is always strange for me to visit. Here I have my own driver and E-class and it used to be that every other car on the road is working vehicle, taxi, or luxury car - but now i am starting to see a bunch of cheaper cars. (funny how i guauge class by transport, but its true). Something should be said about the EXCELLENT public transit here so even people that can afford cars don't necessarily buy one, making my anecdote kind of pointless.

i believe the tax has gone up to 150%. I know because my family is thinking about buying a car here and my dad's 335i in the states is cheaper than a toyota rav4. That enzo probably cost as much as the owner's home. probably pocket change.

Just don't forget that Penthouses are Apartments too... Sometimes the Term Condo would be better suited, especially someone owns the place.

Make sense? I'm usually down for bagging on apartment dwellers with the fly rides, but that's a different kind of Suburban stupidity for the most part. Not a High rise Condo kinda thing.

A lot of people just own their apartments but you need a few million for that.

Forget the car. What the heck does a $10k/month HK apartment look like?
