Hi guys im hoping someone can shed some light on this issue's that's got me baffled.

When pulling away or reversing I get a knocking noise, this noise is worse if im turning the wheel to the right or bumps are present.

Iv had the car in the air and wiggled the wheel but cant hear anything and feels solid. I cant see any loose bolts at top of the strut, bottom of strut or anything else connecting to the hub. Iv also given all components connecting to the hub and strut a good hard shake and cant feel any play.

Any ideas has anyone had this and had it fixed????????

I'm having the same problem check my post out. There is also a pic. A good idea from one of the guys that commented was to change the front end links. There relatively cheap if you go meyle which I have also been researching. A lot of members recommend this. I think the culprit of my noise is the front passenger shock. But while I'm doing this I might as well upgrade/replace some over suspension pieces.

yer im going to do the links as like you said they are cheap but I can tell it wont be that much of an easy fix, nothing is easy lol. Ill keep checking your thread to see how your getting on with it.

i just went outside and checked my car cause I had free time I believe the cause is the endlinks because one of them (driverside) the bushing is broken. Don't know how I missed it the first time. you can see it without having to lift the car or anything. watch this in order to have an idea of what im talking about

yer my drop links have lots of play in them like in the video. Hopefully that is all the problem is then.

I have the same issue but its whether Im going backwards or forwards. I changed my endlinks and still have the same issue. Even added 3mm spacers as the wheel was right up on the shock housing. I'm going to take the endlinks off completely and see if anything changes. After that I'll need to take my coilovers off completely and make sure everything was put on correctly.

M banks: But is it when your On park for example and you switch to drive do you hear a small click??Or drive to reverse also? If it's a click on switching directions only, that's normal. Search for that on the forums. If it's not too loud it's not a problem when switching from reverse to drive or vice versa. Most noticeably when parking in my case. Mine has done that click sound since I had it at 10k miles. Never has it gotten progressively worse or anything.

Hopefully man. I know mine is that and the shocks also because of the leak on my shocks. But good luck because the end links are a lot cheaper then getting shocks or any other part. I'll let you know how mines go after I've completed ordering and isntall.

Also touch the rubber Part of the endlink you will feel one with a slit or really dry.

I have a manual. It's def a front suspension issue.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Found it was loose nuts on suspension control arm. Must have been from doing them up when I done my suspension without any pressure on them.
