I asked a similar question of a wheel refurbisher, and his response was that he would straighten a bent rim, but had had way too many issues with those that had been welded and he would not do it.

Intrack tires.
Had many wheels refurbed by them from bends. To cracks. To color change. Great prices on powder coating.

All I can say is I recently bought a set of rewelded rims from inTrack. I ended up having to buy two replacements because the structural integrity of the rims were severely compromised. The welds were sketchy enough that 3 out of 4 shops I took it to recommended not putting them on the car because they wouldn't survive on the streets around here in NJ/Philadelphia.

My advice: if you can buy replacements go ahead. If it is a small hairline crack, it might be fine. 2 or 3 cracks (especially on the barrels) and it's a no-go imo.

Define sketchy; were they just ugly or was there a real issue? Lots of structurally sound welds are ugly, lots of pretty welds aren't strong.

What wheel is it? Have you looked into just purchasing a replacement?

Do you know how poor I am right now? Because I'm pretty poor right now.

Also, is intrack in Jamaica, Woodhaven or Richmond Hill? Google gives results for all three LOL. And a google street view reveals a family practice center.

That area is considered pretty much all of them. They are on Jamaica Ave, between 101st and 102nd street. Right next to the Fire Station.
