I flattened it out by putting some weight on it. It curled up about 6 inches before I put that spoiler on top of it to flatten it.

Yeah I see that......bad but not something you'll spend a sunny weekend afternoon fixing....right? ;-)

this thread I found is turning me off porcelain altogether.
The tiles I got are made by the same company that makes the tiles for race deck. I prefer what I have to porcelain tiles or epoxy coating.

Oh, another issue.. I have two engines on an engine stands. Where the engine stands sit, you can see the identation of the metal wheel in the plastic tiles. Not as strong as they would want you to believe, but there is a way around it. I will put plywood underneath the engine between the garage tile and the engine stand wheels to spread the load. Rolling the stands on and off the plywood will present a challenge. I'm sure if I was rolling around the engine stands on an epoxy floor it's just a matter of time until the epoxy lifts. I have another engine on a pallet and that seems to work nicely (moving it around on a pallet jack).

Costco has the motofloor tiles in the warehouse now. Might want to take a look at it. I bought mine from Costco online about 3 years ago and the shipping killed the savings I thought I was getting.. I bought it anyways since it was still SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Racedeck. If you want more pictures of the flooring, let me know. I only have 1/4 of the garage tiled as I'm waiting to install a lift so I can tile around it (don't want to tile first, then cut out section of flooring to make room for the posts).

Gary

Ps. the issue with the curling garage tiles can probably be fixed in an hour or so...

Use their garage floor calculator to figure out the # of boxes u need. I needed 16 or 18 boxes. With shipping that's expensive since they charge by the box (correction, looks like they now include shipping/handling).

It currently is filled with junk and has only room for one car. Once I get it cleaned up I'll post some pics .

The plot thickens.

The guy who was supposed to call me from Racedeck Canada didn't.

This morning I spoke to my landscaper, who wholeheartedly recommends epoxy...then I spoke to the chap installing the tiles in the house....of course tiles are the way to go.

I polled my BMW Sales associate, one of my work associates, Bimmerista (makes some compelling arguments), and they all advocate tiles.....hmmmmm..............

What a great transformation you made!!!

Your floor looks fantastic! Did you do that floor yourself or was it done by a contractor of sorts?
